I live round the corner but don't come here often enough. I'm proud to have a local that is so good and affordable. Came last night with family and had a lovely meal and a drink outside in the sun
I have eaten here many times and the food is always cooked to your liking i will keep returning as this is one of the best pubs for food in cleethorpes / grimsby area . Reasonably priced and very polite staff . The staff always have a warm welcome for everybody who enters the establishment .
Friendly and helpful staff and first class food and beer. The 8oz rump was as good a steak as I've ever eaten
Called in tonight for our evening meal, and were actually told we'd have to wait an hour for it ... and guess what, points for that, so we stayed and waited. (just meant a couple of pints wait) :) and glad we did. Great food, piping hot and fresh, good portions and great beer in a busy pub ... where the staff are courteous, work hard and try to meet the demands of the general public, who want everything now! What's not to like ... excellent value and will return, deffo. Thank you.
Amazing place ... staff so friendly and welcoming.
Came here today with my husband and 2 children for our tea and it was lovely. Will definitely be back :)
Went in bank holiday Sunday had two meals .. one had a hair in it .. the lasagne .. the gammon was fine and the staff .. Chelsey I believe .. were spot on .. changed the meal immediately although the wife had lost her appetite by then .. beer very competitive prices .. never let one bad meal put you off ..
Nice food bit stingey portions nice place.
I had the lamb Kofta kebab which had too many onions and peppers and the hot peri sauce wasn't hot then nan bread was disappointing and overall not good the wife had skillet sirloin with Jack Daniel's sauce which was very good, next time I'll try something else because the meals are usually very good
Ate here yesterday at lunch time with 5 family members, didn’t seem too busy when we walked in about 12.50, ordered and waited nearly 45 mins for our food, a little longer than we normally wait! The food was lovely and very tasty!!!! The staff were friendly too
Visited tonight as a regular customer but really disappointed in tonight's service due to waiting well over 40 minutes for our main courses when they arrived one was returned due to over cooked steak then when we ordered desserts we had to wait over 30 minutes for them and again one was reurned due to having cold custard, overall not a good experience tonight
Very affordable. Nachos were lovely and food was ok but a massive downfall on customer service. The guy who brung us our starter gave us no cutlery or anything and when we asked he just pointed and told us to get it ourselves. From when we finished our starters to receiving our mains, we waited for an hour and 5 minutes. In between this I went to speak to your staff member, Ed who told me he didn't have a clue how long our meals would be 'the bell rings when the food is ready I don't know how long yours will be so just wait please'. Once our food came it was burnt and my mushrooms were inedible. Not impressed
Food was lovely the only thing that spoilt it was we had to change tables because of the level of noise coming from the kitchen. I've never been to a pub before where the music on in the kitchen is so loud you can't hear yourself speak every time they open the kitchen door which was quite frequent as the pub was quite busy. Won't be going again in a hurry.
food was extremely low standard pie was burnt steak was overdone chicken breast was very small for money had about 14 chips with each meal on a very large plate making food look unappitising first time there and the last
On Sunday 30th April 2017 my elderly father broke his hip slipping on the wet slippery toilet floors in the Grosvenor Pub. I arrived at the pub within ten minutes and saved images of the toilet floor and leaking urinals whilst we waited for an ambulance. The licensee and a regular patron made a statement later claiming that the toilet floor was dry as they had visited the gents toilet moments before his fall, the licensee also claimed the toilets were dry when she rechecked them after the incident.
CCTV evidence that might have clarified if the toilets were checked was not saved.
At that date and time I found the floor in the toilets were wet and extremely slippery underfoot as my father said and as my photographs and digitally recorded film show. So how come it was dry before and after as the licensee stated?
You decide if this is a safe place to go. Pictures and film supplied upon request.
