We were a party of 18 this weekend for my nannas 70th. Firstly we sat in the bar for drinks for around an hour and the atmosphere was lovely! We were then seated in our own corner of the pub where we could see the little park which was perfect for us as we had children with us. Not one of us had a problem with our meals! The staff in general were lovely and helpful but Wendy was great as always. We would definitely recommend.

Staff are polite, very well mannered and the food was amazing I e had various food off menu best cooked steak I‚Äôve had ÔŅĹ will definitely be coming again

Second time here for Sunday lunch with the family and second time it's been sheer perfection! Highly recommended! The cauliflower cheese is the best around and the braised red cabbage is just amazing! ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Just had a classic beef burger meal as part of the two for £10.49 and I couldn’t fault it. Lovely brioche bun and fresh salad on the burger and nice chips with a tomato dip on the side.

Served by sandy who was friendly and helpful.

My son had a kids burger meal with ice cream for £3.99 and again it was good value. We will definitely return.

Just eaten Sunday lunch here and had the beef duo, absolutely stunning. Compliments to the chef. First time visiting since it‚Äôs been done out and all changed, done it out well so much better. Think I‚Äôll be calling every Sunday now ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Held my dads wake here yesterday buffet was delicious staff were absolutely brilliant will definitely be back for all my happy events in the future thanks to you all xx

Children's menu is super for allergies too...makes a change going somewhere and not being restricted to the same meals for my little girl.

Fantastic lunch, very well presented superb value for money and of a very high quality .

Starters were all well received and we were given a lovely break in between the starter and the main course of about 45 minutes which was lovely being Christmas Day after-all

Main courses all excellent with vegetables cooked to perfection

Desserts again came within a nice time allowing for drinks and chatting around the table

Cannot fault the staff or management from bar to restaurant and kitchen highly recommended by us all

Came in with my partner for a meal, first time at this pub. Lovely place and atmosphere, great food and excellent service from linsey. Would recommend and return.

Called in for lunch today having never visited before. Would definitely recommend this place food was fantastic, proper home made food served really quickly and with a smile. Without a doubt we will be returning.

After having this place recommend & being close by we decided to give the Chase a chance. First impressions were great, a newly refurbished place,clean & looked welcoming. Bar service was good & were given a warm welcome from Wendy. We ordered food & all our dietary needs were met no problem, meals were checked against the allergy handbook. As this is a must for 2 in our party with severe allergies, great service. Meals were fab, arrived within 15 mins, hot & presented well. Also had puddings & extra drinks which we were asked at the table. Desserts were great & service fab, Wendy looked after us well.A warm welcome awaits you at The Chase, thanks for the great experience.

Staff strike perfect balance between professionalism & friendliness. Food (chicken pie for one of us, beef in ale for the other) arrived quickly and was very hot and very tasty. Thank you.

Myself, friends and our kids was looking forward to the family fun day that states was happening on the 26th turns out the day is wrong it’s the 27th!!! Very disappointed kids.

Can't say we were impressed yesterday. Ordered 3 meals (2 adult meals and 1 kids) kids meal came out no problems. Our meals didn't appear so went and asked and they said it had been put on hold, so they said it would be a few minutes. By the time I got back to my table the food followed me out. We then ate our meal separate to our child and then after a further wait they asked if we wanted the Ice cream that we got with the kids meal?! Wasn't very happy at having a family meal where the family all ate at different times. It wasn't that busy either.

Was there last night a table of 15 of us celebrating a special birthday it was absolutely freezing in there...we ordered food at 6.40 and got it at 8.20...a few people had to change their order because they kept coming out to tell us that they had run out of things..had 2 kids with us and the youngest was the very last person to get his meal which i didnt like...it was really empty now i know why...the few staff they had were under so much pressure i felt so sorry for them...so many people walked out because they had been waiting so long for food...theyve spent so much money making the place look lovely but havent spent money on staff...such a shame it could be so busy but they are losing so much custom all because they wont spend on staff...ridiculous!!!

Visited here this afternoon and was left feeling very annoyed and out of pocket all for rubbish food and terrible service. First of all we had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us stood waiting at the bar. We then ordered our meals which were; 2 Mixed Grills, The Grilled Halloumi Sandwich, A children's fish and chips and a Prawn Cocktail Starter. All to come out together. Spending a total of £50 or thereabouts and drinks on top of that. To then be told (after paying) that there wasnt any chicken for the mixed grills so therefore had to be substituted for an extra piece of gammon. Also, we were told there were no Rump Steak however this was supposed to be served on the mixed grills so were not even sure what meat they used. Bad service. When the meals arrived (pretty quickly i must add - only positive of the afternoon) we were left waiting, again, for the 'Grilled Halloumi Sandwich' which arrived 5 minutes later (ungrilled) to then be sent back and return after another 5 minutes (slightly more grilled) still unimpressed. The Prawn Cocktail starter was served at an unsually warm temperature (which i then never ate). We then left very promptly feeling disappointed and without a child's dessert (which was included in the meal price we had already paid for). Overall our experience wasn't as it should be and we will therefore not be returning.
