GOOD LUCK TO OUR AUGUST SKYDIVERS - On Sunday Tansy Cox, James Goodman, Karen Wakefield, Laura Webber, Lottie Richards and Simon Rixon will by jumping from 14,000 feet to support our work in Gataka. Thank you.
Watch out Moulyne, it looks like the new blackboard came with a new teacher! We'll have to thank the local carpenter for that.
WHY CAN'T THE ELEPHANT GO TO THE BUS? Learning a second, and in some cases a third language can be very hard. Through songs like these the children learn to have fun with English, and pick up lots of new vocabulary....
Do you remember the first time you played with toys like this?
SAY HI TO OUR NEWEST CHILDREN. Please join us in welcoming Shanty, Violet, Geledi, Bravin, Samson, Alexander, Emmanuel and Britney to our school in Gataka.

GLOW IN THE DARK 5 KM FUNRUN - Anyone in the Bristol area interested in taking part in a sponsored glow in the dark 5km run? It's on Saturday 11th October at 7pm. It looks amazing and could be a really fun fundraiser. If we have some interest I can probably get free charity entries. Could you please share this link or see if anyone you know would be interested? Comment for more info. http://www.glowinthepark.co.uk/
LEARNING IN ENGLISH AND SWAHILI. We are committed to giving children a high standard of education. As English is Kenya's 2nd national language, teaching English is a big part of the curriculum. Watch these beautiful children learn.....

LEARNING IS A TWO WAY PROCESS - As we continue to strengthen our relationship with Southborough school in Kent, we'd like to share with you a couple of pictures, taken in Gataka, that now feature as part of a display in Southborough. We look forward to doing the same in Gataka.

THANK YOU FOR THE SHOES. We want to say a massive thank you to all the parents and children from Southborough Primary School for donating your old shoes. Many of the children in Gataka have very worn out shoes, and some have none at all. They will be overjoyed with the fancy new footwear.
EVER THOUGHT ABOUT SKYDIVING? We're organising a sponsored skydive at Headcorn airfield, Kent. Our provisional date is October 4th. If you'd like some information or would like to jump somewhere else in the UK then please leave a comment. The pictures are from our 2011 skydive in Swindon - what a great day!
ANYONE FOR HIDE AND SEEK? You hide, we'll count to ten, then we're coming.....
SAY HELLO TO OUR NEWEST CHILDREN. Standing here with their teacher Moulyne, we'd like you to meet the latest 5 arrivals to our small school.
PLAY IS A PRECIOUS THING! All children have the right to enjoy their childhood but not every child is lucky enough to do so. Watch this short video, taken by our school manager, to see something wonderful - children being children.
