Went in with hubby, not been in since the 70s ,It's just looks like we remembered it. ( apart from the tv's ) It's a nice little pub . So welcoming. Nice if you don't want a lot of noise . You can hear yourself talk unlike some of the other more livelier pubs . We enjoyed it and I'm sure we will pop in again x

Paid a visit on a Sunday tea time, not one of my regular watering holes for quite a few years. I used to use this place a lot when I worked at HDM. Also used it on a weekend when out with friends . I found the pub had not really changed much ( a good thing )and the guy behind the bar was friendly. The price of a pint of dark fruit was only £2.20 and had a singer on and was busy. Only went in for one but stayed for three or four in the end as we were having such a good time. I must say we will be returning again soon.

Only a small pub,but great atmosphere, barman was welcoming,good prices,top music , but most of all the locals really welcome you, good sing along and dancing. Visited Hull from Liverpool and would recommend here especially for those over 30 looking for a goodnight out in Hull.

Many years I was in they about 35 years ago when I was free and single � yesterday was lovely in they very Christmassie and very friendly had a knee replacement recently can't walk far it was the 1st pub we come to in the town centre �

Always make a point of visiting the best bet in Hull on my trips over from Manchester, it makes the journey worth while, well done

We'd never been in here until pride weekend last week as we were unsure if it was a gay pub or not, but after seeing the pride flags up we felt happy going in and felt comfy when we were in there. Great little pub with good music, drinks are a good price too although yesterday when we went in during the afternoon the drinks were one price, then at night when we came back the exact same drinks had gone up in price slightly not sure why... but still we had a good time and enjoyed it. We'll be coming back soon i'm sure!
