Open all day for real ales and home cooked food and of course #savedeadbod beer
We have been going to Minerva for years it's a lovely old fashioned pub. It does nice food, an excellent choice of gins and best of all it as Aspel cider on draft mmm. If you haven't tried it make sure you take the time to go it's lovely to sit outside in summer
Very impressed with our meal yesterday! I’m gluten free and my options were all lovely. The food was beautiful, the portions were enormous and very reasonably priced. We will definitely come back
Table booked for drinks with the girls from work. Fab setting on the window over looking the Humber ....... food gorgeous. Cracking selection of gin too. Would definitely recommend it and I’ll be back !!!!!
Sorry this is a bit late . . . . . . but had Sunday lunch at The Minerva on Mother's Day. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. The menu is quite varied. Despite negative comments about Christine's pie, it was extremely moorish served with a good selection of vegetables, piping hot. Just loved it. To add to the experience, there was a very good selection of real ales available. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We will be back with friends from Skipton. Thank you to all the staff.
Rocked up at Minerva really early after having a little shop at the Humber Street Market. It felt really cold but then the sun outside of Minerva was really warm so I sat and enjoyed the peace before they opened.
By this point, a huge crowd had formed and we all couldn't wait to get in. Thankfully I grabbed a table and got a pot of tea. Most people I assume would have a beer but the milk they serve with the tea taste just like my nanas, who sadly passed away. I happened to stumble across this fact a year or so ago, so find it really comforting I guess my review might seem a little odd but it's the small things that really matter.
I managed to find some peace and warmth in the sunshine and then drink a lovely cuppa! Happy days...
Popped in yesterday for a pint of Real ale, ended up having a meal with it.
Great place, happy smiling staff and good value for money food.
The beer is also spot on, I’ll be going again for sure.
Never lets us down / trio of ales and great food plus acoustic team were in on Sunday
Lovely little pub, cool to see the smallest room in Britain and imagine what it would have been like back in 1800s!
The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Loved the Minerva fish basket, I’ll be dreaming about it for days now :)
Lovely fish n chips for me, veggie chilli for my other half😀 yummy. Lucky to be sat in the sun on the front.
I’ve been in the Minerva a number of times now. It’s a great pub with a good choice of real ales and good quality food at reasonable prices. Great view of the Humber as well!
Had our works Christmas party last night and couldn't fault it at all.
Food was great, nice and hot which doesn't always happen at other places when there is a large party,
Staff were fabulous, nice and friendly and nothing too much trouble and service with a smile from each and every one of them which again is a rarity.
The managers should be very proud of their staff
Had a fab meal here today! Proper chips (not oven chops for once), nice selection of drinks and friendly staff was recommended and I’d recommend it, too
Great food very quick service value for money Minerva still holds the good atmosphere too very good choice of drinks as in Ales for the men and good variety of Gins & mixers !!!
Good venue, good service. Had two drinks for wifey and myself, first round £11.20. Second round £13.80 . for same two drinks. Complained to bar person and told that was that. End of story, won’t go back.
A proper pub with proper ale, proper food and proper hospitality
There’s a good atmosphere, we had a couple of drinks on Sunday lunch time. We did not eat there, but the food did look lovely. The staff were friendly, however a couple of hem need to smarten themselves up a little. We would definitely go back again, probably for the Sunday lunch. The whole place is in need of some re-investment, but it does the job.
On such a lovely sunny day some attention should have been given to the outside seating area. Tables and menus were filthy and covered in grease and food, put me off eating. We had a few drinks and moved on.
A nice traditional pub right on Hull’s waterfront.
A reasonable selection of beers including some really interesting international bottled beers in the fridge.
I just didn’t enjoy my main course of Halibut which was over cooked and dry.
What a total shame. The pub stunk of drains which put me of my meal - everyone was complaining about it. Food not as good as usual. Disappointed with the service and atmosphere. The smell was really really bad - needs sorting !
