Went in with my mam and dad greeted with a smile, we ordered our meals and they where ready in 20 minutes. They came beautifully presented and taste amazing the service and value for money was brilliant! Great atmosphere. Not just saying it because it is owned by friends I really do recommend The Rising Sun.

Went in today for a Sunday lunch. Food was amazing. Best Yorkshire puddings we've had for a long time. Staff really friendly and service was spot on. Couldn't recommend this place enough. And we certainly couldn't moan about the price. Fabulous food and atmosphere. We shall be returning very soon..

Went in The Rising Sun last night, what a great night, landlord Rob and all the staff work hard to ensure you have a great night, entertainment on a Sat and lovely Sunday lunches. Looking forward to next sat to see jade Scott perform............ Great pub with a great atmosphere !!

This pub was great fantastic selection of GF food, great knowledge of CC ideal for my mini ceoliac. Will definitely return in the future ���

The food here is really good. The food is hot and presented well. Rob and Vicky the land lord and land lady are a lovely couple. They put on a great buffet for my dads funeral who sadly passed away last week. My dad used this pub and was good friends with them. A big thank you Rob and Vicky and to all his friends x

First of all, its a clean pub with great staff. The beers and wines are always 'spot on'. There is a great selection of meals, which are tasty and great value. Rob, the landlord, is always welcoming and an all round 'nice fella'.

The Rising sun has a nice beer garden for the warm days.

All in all, its a great pub. Love it!

Been in a few times. Spoken to like a c&%t by the landlord each time I've visited. Just popped in as I was passing and saw a pal outside only to hear the landlady say "he's not fucking coming in"???????. No explanation whatsoever, never known what the problem is, very odd.... To be fair, the food and drink is 10/10, the people are always a good crowd. Not a fan of the way I'm treated considering there's no reason of their rude behavior. I'll stick with Pilot.

myself, my husband & 4 of our friends planned to eat out at the rising sun last night. My friend called the pub to check what time food was served till and she was told food was served till 8pm( we called at 3pm). We all walked down to the pub to be told on arrival (7pm) that you'd stopped serving food. We all ordered drinks anyway. Then the lady behind the bar was very rude to us. In my job I work with the public and I wouldn't dream of speaking to anybody the way she spoke to us, paying customers. Very disappointed with the whole thing, not only will we never step foot in there again, I would also advise others to go elsewhere for food & friendly service.

Woman behind the bar was absolutely lovely and cannot fault her she deserves a better pub to work in!



Food wasn’t that good at all, dessert (chocolate fudge cake) was so dry. Advertise as a family pub but no children’s menu was available.



I was over charged at the bar however the lady couldn’t apologise enough she was amazing however Rob wasn’t so quick and was really rude and when the lady noticed rob simply said it ‘doesn’t matter’ and didn’t even tell me I’d been over charged until I’d mentioned it myself!



Would never go back again.
