Here at the Shoulder of Mutton we are a comfortable 10 minute walk away from the city centre.
A building dating back to 1889 and previously a doctors surgery and then turned into a pub / hotel comprising of 4 double bedrooms, 1 single room, 1 twin room and a family room (originally the gentlemen’s lounge). Along with our accommodation we have a main bar area showing sky TV and a range of real ales, our oak panelled snug room, mock Tudor style dining area /, large beer garden (winner of Britain’s best pub beer garden in 1980), spacious car park and front terraced area.

Steeped in over 100 years of history and tales of ghostly occurrences from coughing, giggling and whistling in our cellar area to seeing a lady in the garden along with figures disappearing before your very eyes!
