August’s bottle of the month is....... Lagunutas IPA (6.2% 335ml) A well-rounded, highly drinkable IPA. A bit of Caramel Malt barley provides the richness that mellows out the twang of the hops. Just £3.50 a bottle!

NOW AVAILABLE! Genuine real Somerset cider! This medium farmhouse cider packs a punch at 6%. Just £3.30 a pint. Ohhhhh arrrrrrrrhh!

NEW ON! On the pumps we currently have a lovely American IPA from Great Newsome Brewery! The 5.5% brew is sure to hit the right spot on hot day with hints of Lychee, Peach and citrus. A good bang for your buck at just £3 a pint.

July’s bottle of the month is 🥁 🥁 🥁........... Brewdog’s 3.8% session IPA Dead Pony Club (330ml). Inspired by US-Style pale ales, Dead Pony is a low amplitude, high voltage hop hit; California dreaming for the craft beer generation. Just £3.20 a bottle!

New on this week! Voodoo Mild from Great Heck Brewery (4.3%) and Rare Breed an Amber Ale from Butcombe Brewing (3.8%). All cask ale just £3 a pint.

DONT FORGET! Bottle of the month starts tonight at The Tailor’s Chalk. Kicking us off is Goose IPA at 5.9% (355ml) just £3.30.

June’s bottle of the month is.......... Goose IPA 5.9% (355ml) from Goose Island Brewery. This is a hop lovers dream with a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle and long hop finish. Available from Friday June 1st throughout the month.

Starting June 1st! The Tailor’s Chalk will be introducing a bottled beer of the month! Throughout the month we will be stocking a seasonal special as well as the old favourites we currently stock. So keep your eyes peeled next week for June’s special!

Light, medium, dark? Something for everyone on! Why not come in and try Sunset a lovely 4.2% Blonde Ale. If you like the dark stuff then Dark Masquerade (3.6%) is a beautiful flavoursome dark mild. Finally, Great Newsome’s traditional style best bitter (4.3%) Frothingham Best completes the trio! All pints of cask are just £3 a pint 🍺.

We will be open at 12 noon on Thursday for the Tour de Yorkshire. On the pumps we will have an array of cycling themed cask ales all from Yorkshire based breweries. For the pale ale fans we have Over’t Bar a 4.1% Blonde from Wakefield based Bosun’s Brewery. Also on offer will be Maillot Jaune (3.8%) a Blonde hoppy zesty beer from Great Newsome Brewery. Then for the dark ale fan we have Peloton Porter (4.6%) from Half Moon Brewery in Ellerton. All cask ale just £3 a pint.

We are all ready for vintage day tomorrow! Don’t forget we are opening early at 12 noon! On the pumps we’ll be going back in time with Half Moon’s Dark Masquerade- a dark mild at 3.6%. Also we have Sesh (3.4%) from Chin Chin Brewery a lovely hoppy ale and a favourite of most people’s Halo (3.6%). All cask ales just £3 a pint. NEW BEER ALERT! Coming this weekend- Magnificent Blonde (4.1 %) from James & Kirkman based in Pontefract. This pale blonde ale is refreshing, with a clean crisp bitterness and a fruity finish. There are just the right amount of floral notes to have you reaching for your glass all too often. Just £3 a pint!
