Not long to go until the tickets go on sale for our end of season party. On the 1st of October you can get your tickets for this fantastic event in reception or on the Owners website. You can also call the reception team on 01262 850369 to purchase these.
... This year we would love to see everyone dress formal to enjoy a night of amazing entertainment.
We will also have live entertainment in the Lighthouse Restaurant and the Owners Lounge.
Doors open at 6:45pm on the 10th of November 2018.
Tickets are £2.50 payable at the time of booking. Ticket's will allow you guaranteed priority access to the Showbar until 7:30pm. After this time, Owners without priority tickets will be permitted entry.

*** HALLOWEEN PARTY & FIREWORK DISPLAY ***
It's coming to that time of year again, it's almost time for our spooky celebrations at Thornwick Bay. I can now reveal on the 3rd of November we have our Halloween party in the Showbar from 7pm. We will also be starting this fantastic evening off with our annual firework display out on the front field in front of reception from 6:30pm.
... We would love it if you could all get dressed up ready for this spooky occasion and we are giving you plenty of time to plan what you are going to wear.

BOXING – Great news!
We do receive a lot of negative feedback when we have the boxing on, and we will be reviewing over the close season whether we will continue to show boxing next year. For tonight though, and after taking into account your feedback, we have made the decision to now show the Anthony Joshua fight in the Lighthouse. We felt that on reflection it was unreasonable to give such short notice that we were not going to show it, given that we have screened previous... ones this year.
Schedule for the fight: 8pm - Coverage to start without sound 9pm - Coverage with sound Joshua estimated to be on around 10pm

You would think by the negative reviews on here that it's not worth a visit or even buying a caravan on this site. This is not the case IMO. We first came here 40 years ago (when it was Seafarm and Thornwick sites) when the in laws had a van on site, so we have seen and experienced it through the years and I have to say it has changed and improved massively. Having 2 young grand kids now we took the plunge and bought a 'van. In the pre Haven days it used to be an 'entertain yourselves' culture, it's now anything but that, the grand kids love it and never want to go home and as everyone with little ones knows if you can keep them busy, happy and entertained it makes for a great holiday.

My opinion: great site, great staff, brilliant activities. Or, as I like to say, 'what's not to like'.

PS just thinking about the in laws caravan when we first came, water out of a container you filled from an outside tap, toilet blocks for the ablutions, gas mantles for lights, gas fire that was about as warm as lighting a couple of candles and the club was in a big hut. Ahhhh the good old days lol.

Wow just wow. It is the most friendly site I have been to. Staff are helpful and I have never seen a park so clean . It's also a Very beautiful and quiet park. The coastal walks are beautiful and less than 10 minutes to rock pool beaches, no sand beaches all pebbles. Highly recommend but not necessarily ideal for small children

The facilities are fantastic, we have 5 children of all ages who love this new holiday park, there is something to do for all ages.

I love the country walks and the stunning sea views from this park but what amazed me was I had sheep in the field directly behind my caravan and from the front I had beautiful sea views, we definitely had the best of both worlds the country and the coast.

Well done Haven on this Fab holiday park, 5 stars from me and my family !!

We hired a van for a weekend last May, loved it so much we've just bought a caravan

We both work hard so it will be like having a mini holiday every weekend



And of course we now have all our kids and grandkids asking when can they come and stay �

We bought our first van on this site in July this year 2016 and absolutely love the place. The staff are very friendly and the park itself is a pleasure to be on, it's well kept and clean. Our grandchildren were up for a week in the school holidays and had a brilliant time, they can't wait to come back for the October half term. There is such a lot for them to do whatever the weather and they're only 4 & 5. Their parents enjoyed the facilities too. We didn't know the site before Haven took it over, but we have seen their sites in other parts of the country and know that they have experience of running these types of holiday villages. We have spoken to people who had vans on here before Haven took over and the majority of them have said that things have improved and that there's more to do. We don't regret buying ours and are looking forward to many years there.

The site is fantastic. Bought our caravan on here because of the beauty of the views and location.

We have eaten in the lighthouse bar on many occasions as a quick meal to save me cooking and most of the time was ok but nothing to rave about and I will keep going there.

However I have just been in the chip shop because my teenage boy was hungry and we were not ready for home, so he could eat it outside the lighthouse while we finished our drinks.

I have had to wait over 30 minutes for fishcake chips and curry sauce, that was ridiculous but I'm so glad I didn't pay over 7 quid for fish and chips like the customers before me had waited 45 minutes for because it was absolutely shocking what they were serving.

Please haven lower your prices for sub standard food or hire professionals that can get it right. The young staff are so lovely and lively but who is training them?

Spent the week with my two boys at the seaside and they have been occupied every minute of each day lots of fab activities and thanks to the help and support of the team in the activity barn my 7 year old son can now confidently ride a bike.... so thanks for a fab holiday guys

Spent 4 days here last week with 2 of my sister in laws and our 7 grandchildren what a brilliant place, you feel safe in letting the older kids go off on their own plenty to do. The loved the craft painting and foam, great memories to keep for them. Staff all friendly and helpful. Loved the jousting on Thursday afternoon. Will be back.

Had drain down done by yourselves again this year, came last night and found a leak under the caravan, reported at office and the maintainance guy came up and sorted Excellent Service thank you

For family memories then you can't beat this place. Been going for 44years now. Love it.

First time in the owners lounge today and I was made to feel really welcome thank you so much for making this newbie feel at ease xx

Absolutely fantastic changes lots more to do feel like you're on holiday everything looks great.don't no how people have cheek to moan .a lot of hard work been done in terrible weather to get it up and running for us .but that's life you always get some

The location of Thornwick bay holiday park and surrounding​ is fabulous. Just disappointed with the regular police presence on site recently. A park with a family centred ethos shouldn't be subject to brawling staff and visitors.

Love this park feels like coming home every time we visit. Only 2 major downsides for us, no tiny tot play areas or soft play for 0-3 year olds all parks for bigger kids and not enough recycling bins around. Otherwise service always great and shows fab only wish they put earlier shows on at weekends again for the younger ones and so that the parents could enjoy * characters are great but.....

We are owners and have been (in the past) impressed with the quality of the food in the Lighthouse restaurant. However, this week whilst staying a few days, have been disappointed with the quality of the food served both in the evening and during a very quiet breakfast shift.

The bar staff (bless her- Kim) was constantly having to go over to the chef to chase orders and challenge the quality of the food after complaining customers had approached her. On watching this unfold I observed the chef at the front of the kitchen window LAUGH at her and not seem remotely bothered about her feedback.

Can I ask? Has there been a change in kitchen staff recently? Does this need some attention?

I am back again in a few weeks and I hope there have been some improvements made. Otherwise, I will be taking this further with site management.

Owners lounge generally excellent - staff are great and work very hard. Only thing that ever spoils it is number of unsupervised kids that come in and and show no respect to the place, staff or other users...also seems to be a lot of non-owners/teens from local area come in to watch football, don't buy drinks and make it less pleasant for families than it should be...

The staff are lovely and work tirelessly but every man and his dog seems to be walking into the owners bar as the moment,damage has been done in the children's area, toilets are filthy and all because no one is stopping people from just walking in, as owners we all pay towards this area!!

Paid £32 for two mixed grills food came raw and not worth the money. Hardly anything on the plate. Would have been better off going to Wetherspoons. Not to mention everything else on the site is overpriced and poor in quality. Drunk tourists causing fights on a night with police called onto site several times. Not family friendly anymore like it used to be as haven let anyone onto site. Camp not worth coming to anymore which is sad as my family Have grown up here.
