What a wonderful stay at Tickton, the hotel was absolutely beautiful, very quiet and relaxing (exactly what we needed) the staff were not only extremely professional but very friendly. The food at the restaurant Hide, was superb, all compliments to the chef and in fact the team as a whole. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough. Five stars all the way.

We got married here on Sunday and it was perfect. The venue is beautiful, the food was amazing and the rooms are fabulous! Would like to say a special thank you to Liam who really went the extra mile for us and made our day run smoothly and helped from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for him. WOW what a venue, absolutely stunning grounds, beautiful rooms, i was there yesterday building a wedding cake with a team of 3, the room itself was stunning, high ceilings, grand fire place, huge windows and it looked absolutely stunning with the dressings both from the venue itself and an outside venue dresser. But more importantly for me the staff were second to none, Maggie who was so relaxed but obviously in charge and her team of staff were incredible, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, we had some fab banter and the 3 hours we were there building the cake were an absolute pleasure, i will be back soon as a guest, thank you Maggie i will be recommending your venue to all my brides, even from Thorne it isn't a long way and well worth the travel x

Took my mum for afternoon tea for a Mother's Day treat this weekend, what a lovely afternoon we both had. Great food, great service & a nice touch with one of the owners coming over to introduce himself and thank us for coming. Would definitely recommend the afternoon tea there! The food was INCREDIBLE in the restaurant tonight. I imagine it's the same every night. The Bon Bons starter was really well presented and tasted great.



The herb crusted lamb was cooked to perfection & seasoned well. The carrot puree was to die for. The jus to accompany packed a full body flavour. There was alot of elements to the dish but they all complimented each other perfectly. The flavour profile was spot on.



I've never been before but I will definitely be coming again. What a great menu!!

The best venue for a wedding. We married in June and had our wedding breakfast here and the staff can’t do enough for you. Choosing a venue wasn’t the easiest, we wanted somewhere very traditional and classy but also not too far for the majority of people. My husband had been to more weddings than I had but no where had really meant a lot to him, the food was only ok. We knew we wanted beef on the menu my husband is a strong believer beef/steak is what should be served at weddings. The food was outstanding, we got so many compliments on the day. My parents even got thank you letters from guests after the wedding saying what a fabulous reception Tickton gave us. The planning that goes into your special day is unmeasurable and the hotels staff are there for you to support and help you all the way through. The grounds are beautiful and our room, the Dale suite was just breathtaking and so clean. I like to see everything sparkly clean and it really is here. Attention to detail is massive and look no further than Tickton Grange, by far the best in this area.

We enjoyed a lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches and cakes all washed down with a glass or two/three of prossecco in lovely surroundings and a nice touch the owner introduced himself and chatted to us, nice in the days of a faceless corporate world. Will definitely be back and thank you to the curly haired waitress for looking after us so well

My husband and I went to Tickton grange for afternoon tea yesterday and it was lovely xx we got a lovely welcome and the tea and coffee kept getting re-filled. We are going back again.

My daughter treated me to afternoon tea yesterday for my birthday and what a treat it was. We had a variety of mini sandwiches and savouries , a delicious selection of mini cakes, macarons, shortbread and ticton grange homemade chocolate shards . And to top it off the traditional scones with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream. Not a crumb was left on the our plates. We also had real tea no tea bags just proper tea leaves and strainer. My daughter is too young to remember days before tea bags and wondered what the strainer was for , she soon realised and it made me chuckle. Overall we had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting fabulous food and excellent service. Highly recommended .

Beautiful venue, we delivered a wedding cake on bank holiday Monday and were immediately impressed by the building and grounds, the staff were very helpful and the place was spotlessly clean. I've catered a lot of weddings in my time and this venue is one of the most stunning I've seen. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very good hotel very relaxing room very clean and comfortable and lovely grounds very pleasant in the garden, but you expect this when paying over £200:00 a night for B.B. per couple. But unfortunately when making a comment regarding our dinner ( which we were looking forward to in this great environment )we were not treated as a customers, the staff became quite aggressive which was very upsetting, everyone is entitled to comment on there food especially if you are not satisfied with the food or the service, which we were not, we received very bad service,the staff just made excuses and turned the blame onto ourselves who were the ones paying. Very disappointing end to our few days break which we had been looking forward to.
