We were recommended by our taxi driver when visiting York to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary as we had our honeymoon in York. The owner and staff were so welcoming and interested in us and made our evening really special. Food was excellent and we had an evening to remember. Hope to return and would definitely recommend Valentinos

We went on our silver anniversary when visiting York not open long food was ace the people were very nice it was getting late and they did not rush us we even had a picture with the owner

We stumbled across this wonderful restaurant whilst on a short stay at the Ibis for our silver wedding anniversary, the food, service and atmosphere were fabulous x

We had a lovely evening celebrating a family birthday on Saturday - great food and staff, highly recommend a visit.

We came for my birthday, lovely restaurant very well presented, it is an new restaurant so there are still a few problems, nothing serious just that 3 waiters will come to your table st once and we felt a little overwhelmed. Nevertheless Katrina helped me pick a dish off the menu and was exceptional and helpful throughout the evening. The good was absolutely amazing we both thoroughly enjoyed it and even though zucchini was not on the menu the chefs went out of there way to make us some. Thank you for a lovely birthday meal.

We called in for our wedding anniversary dinner and had a lovely evening. A nice warm and welcoming environment with great service and friendly staff who could explain what each dish contained. Nice wine and fabulous food finished off with a proper coffee. Good value for money as well, we will definitely return.

On a short break and first time visitors to York my wife and I dropped by on Mon night, 16th April. Staff were pollite and attentive but they left you to enjoy your meal, no questions about your food every 5mins. On being seated we were offered complimentary bread and olives, in oil, delicious and a nice touch. We had 2 courses from the specials menu and....wow... the food was excellent, in fact so good we may go again tonight before heading home to Glasgow tomorrow. Great restaurant.

Just had a beautiful meal at valentinos, the smoked salmon ravioli with prawn and cream sauce was perfect and the Sicilian lemon tart was wonderful and i have had it before made by a Sicilian friend. Highly recommended.

Just been for a family meal, it was absolutely amazing! Every meal was perfect. My grandparents said the lasagne was the best they have had in a long time. The staff are so friendly and the actual decoration in the restaurant is beautiful! Can see this place becoming very busy very quickly!!

Had a couple of nights away and decided to try Valentinos as it was local to our hotel.

The food was absolutely stunning and the staff were very attentive.

Would highly recommend.

Fell upon this place and ended up dining two days in a row. The food was excellent and the service faultless put a smile on my face highly recommend this place best Lasagna I have had in 30 years.

Excellent value. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Will definitely eat here again when we next visit York.

Excellent food, good service, just one little moan (sorry) free lovely olives but the bread!

Delicious, authentic, italian cuisine in a cosy restaurant with tasteful, elegant decor. All of the staff were polite, friendly and attentive. I would highly recommended this restaurant.

Beautiful meal. Popular restaurant even though it was between Christmas and New Year so knew it should be good and it was. Had a starter that we had never heard of which was mince, rice, breadcrumbs, in tomatoes and cheese. Gorgeous so glad we asked what it was. And then Lobster Ravioli, which was beautiful. Worth our over night stay in York. Will come again

A must have experience.The food is amazing.We celebrated my wife's 70th Birthday and the owners made a real fuss of her.A must for anyone visiting York.Authentc Italian Cuisine cooked to a very high standard and served with excellence.We certainly will be back.

Went with friends n was a pleasing surrounding. The staff were friendly n took care of us but downfall one member of staff couldn’t tell us much of what some food was. Sadly the pasta portions were very small. Reasonable prices.

Starters disappointing asked for cheesy garlic bread was given tomato garlic bread , My husbands main was cold 2nd attempt still uncooked pasta even though it came out steaming the pasta was raw ... crumbled flour on the 3rd attempt was offered half a main , as I had eaten my main alone on the chefs 1st attempt .... what a joke at bill time obviously wasn’t charged for pasta as it wasn’t eaten but no further discount on meal was applied I wish I had booked elsewhere was offered an amereto shot as goodwill gesture but obviously was ready to leave will never return our evening was ruined
