About Vikings Cheerleading

All-Star Cheerleading programme based in York! Our high quality, qualified coaches, all with backgrounds in Cheerleading, Dance and Gymnastics allow athletes to excel in a fun and supportive environment!

Vikings Cheerleading Description

Vikings Cheerleading is a programme based in York. Created to fill the gap for a high performance team that can cater to all athletes no matter what their background. We hope to unite experienced athletes, university students and newcomers together in a way that hasn’t been done before in the area.

Directors Scott Reid and Steph Needley, previous athletes and coaches of University of York and York St John University respectively, have consolidated their efforts to provide a new team. Combining their knowledge from both universities in the city, as well as competing and coaching on national and international levels, they will provide a necessary platform to develop a well rounded team that can achieve great things.

Through collective experience, we know there is a spread of capable athletes throughout the area that are keen to improve and can perform to a high standard.

We train at Millthorpe School, Nunthorpe Avenue,
York, YO23 1WF.

Open Level 1 (17 + ) - Mondays 7-9pm
Junior Level 1 (Up to 14) - Thursdays 5-6: 30pm
Senior Level 2 (Aged 10 + ) - Thursdays 6: 30-9pm
Youth Recreational (Ages 5-11) - Fridays 5-6pm
Senior Tumble (Ages 11-18) - Fridays 6-7pm

Your first session is free! However please be aware that if you are under the age of 18, you will need to bring your parent or guardian with you to sign your registration form.

All of our sessions are led by fully qualified coaches with many years of experience. We are DBS checked, safeguarding qualified and have first aid staff present at every session.

There is work ongoing at Millthorpe School today. Everyone coming to our summer camp be aware that access is limited and you may be required to park on philadelphia terrace and walk into the school.

We loved being part of Leconfield’s WI 4th July themed evening!
Thank you to to Jess Holliday for teaching a routine and talking about what we do!
Everyone picked up the routine really fast, maybe we have a Leconfield based Masters team in sight!
