Wow wow wow ! What a fabulous house .. we stayed here as a group of 12 .. had everything we could of wished for to have a fun comfortable week.. luxurious in decor with the added bonus of gorgeous hot tub over looking the river .. highly recommended !

What a lovely house in a beautiful setting! Ten of us stayed here for my hen do. Lots of space for people to gather or go and do their own thing. James and his dad were friendly and helpful, setting up the hot tub ready for us every day. Highly recommend Waterside House. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed at Waterside house for a Hen Party in June 2015, the house was absolutely fantastic, great design very luxurious, catered to our every need and worked very well for a group of 10.

The location was great as it was secluded and peaceful (and we weren't conscious of disturbing others) it had lots of land and great views by the canal and lots of wildlife to watch in the grounds too, hare's, pheasants and cows.

The hot tub was fantastic, a traditional design which was filled with wood to get it started, it stayed very hot for a long time and the owner James was very helpful to light it for us.

We also had other activities planned in York and James helped us with taxis which were very reliable and reasonable for a group of 10 and also took a group photo of us in the lovely house. We had afternoon tea at the Plough Inn nearby who spoke very highly of James and his hospitality.

We also managed to have time for a little walk along the canal which was lovely and would be great as a family outing or with pets.

All facilities in the house were working and were very impressive particularly the many bathrooms.The kitchen was spectacular with a wine fridge and american fridge freezer, dishwasher and lots of glasses and cutlery/plates.

Some of us from the Hen Party are planning to go back on other occasions and there has also been talk of it becoming an annual thing for us as we enjoyed it so much.

This house is gorgeous. I stayed here with 10 other ladies for a friends 40th birthday. It was spacious, well maintained and beautiful. The hot tub is a great bonus, we spent many hours in it. The owner is very helpful and friendly.

We walked (for about an hour) along the tow path to the local pub, which served lovely food. We even enjoyed a paddle down the canal in the canoe.

I would recommend this house for a large group and would love to return (I'd actually really love to live in it!)

Superb accomodation....stayed in loads of places been on loads girly weekends but nothing and i mean nothing has topped this place....do not look or book elsewhere...a massive thanks to james and his lovely family..been an absolute pleasure

Stayed at Waterside House with a group of ladies for my sister's 30th this weekend - Amazing house, amazing views & many amazing memories! James the owner was the perfect host; left us to enjoy the house but close enough to help & nothing was too much trouble. The log burner hot tub was fab and the sociable spaces in the house were just what we wanted. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch too! Trying to find excuses to visit again soon!

Returned home yesterday after spending the best weekend at Waterside House for my best friends hen party! What a truly beautiful house and surroundings! The house was immaculate and so tastefully decorated. So much light and space. Couldn't have been more perfect! Had everything we needed to make memories to last a lifetime! And James was the perfect host, happy to help with anything we needed. Couldn't recommend Waterside house anymore!! Thank you! Will definitely return one day!

Just returned from waterside house after spending my hen do there for the weekend! Wow!! The house is amazing and finished to the highest standard! A real party house with all the mod cons, we were truly spoilt! Thank you James for being a wonderful host, always on hand if we needed to know anything and he even enjoyed a game of beer pong with us haha! Also the welcome hamper was a nice touch and the Prosecco went down a treat in the hot tub! Loved every minute of our stay and we will definitely be back next year! Xxx

Just returned from an amazing weekend for my daughters hen. Stunning house and surroundings and nothing was too much trouble for the owner -James even changed one of the girls tyres. Diolch yn fawr James hope to return at some point if we can get in!

Just returned from a fabulous weekend celebrating my niece Chelsea’s hen party. What a fabulous house. Everything from the bedrooms, bathrooms to the living space was perfect. We loved the massages and cocktail making class. Thank you to James for being on hand whenever we needed (thanks for the extra loo roll ��). Would definitely recommend this house to all. Only wish is can I move in permanently!!

Just returned after a three night stay with 12 other ladies, to celebrate my 50th birthday. I have to say, the house is fabulous!! The owner James is the most helpful, accommodating owner I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Nothing was too much trouble, anything we asked he would do. The location is superb, a few in the group even went kayaking on the canal. I can't recommend this highly enough, we've had one of the best weekends ever!

I have just got home from a fabulous hen weekend spent at this Manor House. The setting is incredible and the Manor House is beautiful. All of the many rooms are beautifully decorated and there are so many lovely rooms that we didn’t have a chance to fully enjoy them all. A special thank you to James (the owner) who went above and beyond to make this weekend awesome for us. He was very attentive attending to the hot tub and also took us clay pigeon shooting where we had a fabulous time. I would recommend this venue to anyone and will definitely be back here to celebrate a different occasion.

Had a great weekend (Hen do, 19th - 22nd June). Amazing house, beautiful surroundings. Already bragging to my friends and arranging to book next year for my 30th. The only issue is the tree swing was too high for me to get on....

Fantastic venue for a weekend away with a large group, beautiful inside and out with welcoming, helpful owners. Particular high points are the views, the large socialising rooms and the hot tub!

Fantastic stayed there in April hot tub was so hot we had to put cold water in beautiful surroundings n luxurious house we would go back x
