Bradford West NPT Team 1 have today attended St.Johns Church in Clayton for a Celebration Evening for everyone who assisted the St.Johns Winter shelter in January for the homeless. Winter Shelter providing a safe place to sleep and a hearty breakfast and evening meal for twelve rough sleepers from Bradford’s streets. This is in collaboration with Inn Churches, a local charity which works to provide shelter and practical support to the homeless and vulnerable.

Neighbourhood policing team 2 were back on their first early shift today.
•PCSO Gatenby and his new student PCSO Rushforth were on foot patrol in the Girlington ward and sighted a wanted male. From the assistant of ward officers the male was arrested. A short time later the two PCSOs found another wanted male hiding in a bin shed, he was detained and arrested.
•Manningham PCSOs Faulkner, Baines and Riley have conducted parking patrols around schools in Manningham with a colleagues from response officers.

At about 9pm yesterday police were called to a report of an ongoing burglary in Little Horton Lane. Two males aged 23 and 46 were arrested on suspicion of burglary and are currently in custody while enquiries continue.

Today Bradford West NPT Team 1 conducted 5 Search Warrants in the clayton area which resulted in 2 people been arrested and a quantity of drugs been seized. Bradford West NPT will continue to target the people involved in drugs.

Last night NPT 2 concentrated its patrol in the Great Horton Road area.
A number of drivers were issued fixed penalty notices for obstructing the highway.
Sec.59 warnings were also issued to two drivers for their manner of driving.

Majid Asghar, who was previously the subject of a missing persons appeal, has been found safe and well. Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal or called in with information.

Yesterday Bradford West Dismantled a Cannabis factory in the Manningham area. Enquiries are currently ongoing.

Detective Constable recruitment: On Monday, West Yorkshire Police will be opening its doors again for the next generation of detective constables to join the Force. The recruitment window will be open for two weeks and will close on Sunday 7th April at 23:55pm.

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

PC Dickinson and PC Wilson from Team 3 response were patrolling the Girlington area today on foot patrol.
Officers noticed this motorbike driven in an anti-social manner. Officers were able to out run the driver who dumped the bike in an attempt to get away.
The driver was arrested for a number of offences and it also transpired that the motorbike was stolen.
... Great work by the officers and a reminder that illegal and anti-social bikes will not be tolerated.
