We grow and sell hundreds of thousands of plants to the public and trade. Putting a positive spin on the last couple of rainy days 💕 (although we don't think plants and flowers like torrential rain ☔🌧)
Have you ever thought about a Water Butt? 💧
Here in Britain, we take our rainy days for granted, often wishing them away. Yet compare our green and fertile hills with those arid areas of the world where rain isn't a given and we start to understand how this plentiful supply of fresh water is actually one of our most precious resources 🌍
... A water butt is a great way to save water for the summer period, to help keep your summer plants hydrated, especially if you are on a water meter. They are really easy to install and considering the amount of water it takes in the summer to keep your pots and hanging baskets in good condition, you could save alot of money.
Not only that but rainwater contains nitrates and organic matter, so it feeds and nourishes the plants as you're watering them. Get ready for lush foliage!

Went there 21st December. Very good, Santa was lovely, really engaged with the children. The grotto was lovely. Went in the cafe and had a warm drink. The staff were very busy but couldn't complain as they were very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience. Would recommend a visit if you have little ones.

User

We visited Sunday 17th ..Me (Grandad) Grandma Daughter Son in law & Grandaughter..Aged 3

Probably on the busiest weekend so far.

We had pre booked online 3 weeks ago. Brilliant..No Queue...and so reasonable.. £11.50 for 4 adults and 1 child!!..We got nigh on 10mins with Santa..all of us(lovely to enjoy such a special family moment)... and the "Specially delivered" toy was high quality(I won't spoil the surprise)

Santa was very nice and asked all the right things...

A quick coffee and cake and it was shop time..

The cafe was VERY busy but we didn't have to wait long... A little pricey but comparable to many others.

Staff did well to cope with the volume of people...

We found very little wrong..a most enjoyable few hours for not a big initial outlay...

Some Gorgeous gifts , baubles and displays...

We've paid lots more to get much less!

The Santa experience is Super value £11.50... 4 adults 1 child 1 great gift in a personalised bag and 10 mins with a Nice Santa...C'mon!

User

We called to use a gift voucher. We had never been before. We were very pleasantly surprised. The afternoon tea was fantastic, fresh, delicious and plenty of it, all served up in very interesting surroundings. The staff were very good, friendly and helpful, we will definitely return.

User

Visited yesterday with my mum and we had a lovely time. At this time of the year there was a lot to see and it was a pleasure wandering round. We managed to find what we wanted and more besides lol. The staff were very helpful and we will be going back

User

Took my boys here today to see santa and it was absolutely fantastic. My eldest is 8 and so far has not questioned weather santa is real or not, but I was worried this may be our last proper year in him believing so I bought some I BELIEVE BELLS and asked before we went in if santa could give them this as an extra something and the staff was more than happy to oblige. My son's face was a right picture and definitely made everything so so special. Thank you woodbank again for another great year x

User

Thank you to the staff in the Santa land for getting a chair for my mum who didn't want to spoil my son's trip to here to see Santa. My mum suffers from Parkinson's and was treated very well. Merry Christmas & Happt New year.

User

Personally don't think some of these reviews below are justified. Yes a little bit expensive but easily one of the best garden centres around. At Christmas it is brilliant for the kids and the pet section is great.

User

Love it here - one of my fave places. Lovely potting shed food, lovely plant and amazing gift ideas. Great to visit Elvis. Visited santa for the first time this yr - great pressie - best one we've had from a visit to santa - thank you.

User

Lot of moans and groans on some of these reviews.

We have been going to Woodbank regular for the last 10 years. My wife enjoys gardening so the bulk of her plants etc come from Woodbank Other times just for a walk round getting ideas for the garden etc and on most of these visits we end up in the cafe either cake and coffee or a meal, We've had breakfast, lunch and Xmas dinner. Never had reason to complain or kick off. Service excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Yes sometimes we have had to wait longest time 45 mins and now and again tables waiting to be cleared etc. But as the food is all freshly prepared and it's a popular place a wait doesn't matter.

Plus Your Xmas display is Ace

.

Everybody is in a rush today want things now and not prepared to wait.

WOODBANK STAFF, keep up the good work and Merry Xmas to you all.

User

Fantastic Visit today with Santa. ..... the present down the chimney - Classic ! Kids loved it ! So did we ! Santa didn't rush, he took time to talk with the children. He was amazing. The kids had brilliant gifts too. Absolutely 10 out of 10. Highly recommend this place to see Santa - Cannot fault it. The cafe was excellent too. No queues. We saw Santa and had a lovely lunch. It's fantastic. Thank you.

User

The Santa was excellent- he spent a lot of time talking to the kids. My six year old was so excited when he saw the presents come down the chimney. Gifts were good too. Lots of lovely gifts to look at but hardly any staff - only one till to pay at. Overflow cafe had sold out of any cakes etc but considering how busy it was I’m not surprised. Could be better but the kids were happy, parking was much easier this year.

User

Only go at Xmas time the displays are lovely but I must say it is very expensive which made me put a few things back .the cafe is nice although was disappointed that we got dirty cup .but it was changed straight away was very busy food was nice and hot will go again if only for a Xmas treat

User

Impromptu visit yesterday with my young daughter. Staff in the restaurant were lovely, really enjoyed the food. Elvis the Macaw was an unexpected treat! Lots of choice of plants and lovely other things. Would go back.

User

Came for a Mothers Day treat well don't think I'll be back in a hurry. Had Sunday roast so should be quick to serve but waited over 30mins had cold hard roast potatoes and with no checkback we were left with them then had scones and icecream. Icecream was eaten before the rest arrived.

User

We go to the Garden Centre food food with our family a lot and was really disappointed with the service today. Understandably its really busy due to the time of year however when we asked for a table for six we were told there was nothing. Two minutes later A group of five adults requested a table for themselves and a high chair and were told to wait while the staff checked for a table which they were suddenly able to accommodate.

User

The cafe in "santaland" is appalling. Paper cups and plates. Stood for 10 mins before any of the 3 staff acknowledged us. The staff were all clueless. It was as if they wondered what to do with that bit of space - ooh yes a money making opportunity with little investment in quality we'll call it a cafe ! All that was missing was a port-a-loo then I'd have thought I was at a concert or outdoor event not a garden centre ! Cold and miserable, the tea was awful and the cake was old and dry, not a patch on the usually quality of their proper cafe! Won't go there again

User

3rd year we have been to see Santa here. The grotto wasn't as good and the presents not worth £7.50 per child. Real shame as it was excellent the last two years. Having said that the children enjoyed it. Not worth the money tho.

User

Went for afternoon tea and the service was shocking.the table was booked previous and we were told they didn't have one as they had been busy.we booked it as it was my mums 80th and my sister was here from Chicago.very disappointed by the service and the manager didn't want to know.i will not b recommending this to anyone

User

I visited woodbank with my mum and sister yesterday after hearing lovely things .

How disappointed we were. My mum is elder so needed a scooter to get around however it was almost impossible to get through the gift shop . We visited the coffee shop that was so cramped you had to squeeze through. We ordered mushroom soup and tea. The soup was horrible, it was cold and tasless. The bread roll that looked like a muffin was so thick it was solid dough inside.

I mentioned to 2 staff that we were unhappy with the food and the only response we got was "We will pass it on".no apologies

My mum needed the tiolet however the entrance through the cafe was blocked with a pushchair so she had to walk all the way round..

We left empty handed and very disappointed after driving from the far side of leeds

Won't be rushing back.
