Woodhouse Grove School

About Woodhouse Grove School

Woodhouse Grove School, and its preparatory junior school Brontë House, is an independent, coeducational, day and boarding public school and Sixth Form college in Apperley Bridge, Bradford, West Yorkshire, England for children aged between 3 and 18.

Woodhouse Grove School Description

Founded in 1812 by the Methodist Conference for the education of the sons of ministers, The Grove now welcomes pupils and staff of all denominations and none.

Rooted in traditions which have stood the test of time, we are nevertheless flexible enough to meet changing demands and to look to the future. In recent years the school has grown (now 750 in the senior school from age 11) but we are still small enough for all pupils to be known well and to make their mark.

We understand how busy our pupils' parents are and want to make travelling to Woodhouse Grove as easy and as stress free as possible. Following a recent survey, we have conducted a review of our school buses and are pleased to announce the following improvements. • Post school buses will now leave school at 5.20pm to allow all pupils to participate in our extensive co-curricular programme. • We are offering a new bus route through Farsley, Stanningley and Calverley • We n...ow have a more consistent and competitive pricing structure, with price zones and an annual discounted ticket. • We have reduced the overall transport times on some routes.
For full details of our improved bus service and further travel information, please visit the transport page on our school website.
