York Buddhist Group

Triratna Buddhist Community (York) meeting as York Buddhist Group is part of the Triratna Community and Order.

The York Buddhist Group is part of the Leeds Buddhist Centre – a member of the Triratna Community and Order.

We are a community of friends practising the Buddha's Threefold Path of Ethics, Meditation and Wisdom through regular meditation, friendship, ritual, retreats, study and social and cultural events. Together we aim to cultivate clarity, calmness, sensitivity, generosity and kindness.

We welcome both newcomers and experienced practitioners at our York Group or at the Leeds Buddhist Centre.

We are part of the Triratna Buddhist Community - a new tradition, drawing from Buddhism as a whole and presenting the Buddha’s teachings in a way that is more accessible to many of us in the west.
