User

We went yesterday and the staff where people get their pictures taken were so accomadating and helpful and went the extra mile to help someone who was very nervous to enjoy the experience. Thank you:)

User

We had a brilliant time here yesterday. We took our 2 children aged 5 and 8 and even though they were a little scared in places they also did a lot of laughing and both said what a great time they had. Lots of audience interaction plenty of laughs and scares. Will definitely be visiting again when we return to York! Thank you!

User

We had a a night away in York and came to York Dungeons. What an experience, didn't know what to expect but definitely not disappointed, the actors where amazing even when we where picked out to join in twice. Would highly recommend, and will be back again...especially when the tavern in up and running..a beer is needed for some. Had a great day.

User

Visited today with my daughter and from start to finish the guided tour was brilliant. The actors where amazing and put on a brilliant show. My personal favourites where the lady who burnt me at the stake and the guillotine guy. Highly recommend

User

Visited here in January on my 40th birthday, although I was pretty nervous I loved the experience. We came back to York again on Sunday and my fiance took our 11 year old son in. He too was pretty nervous but he came out and said he'd absolutely loved it and wanted to go back in. My fiance must have one of those faces too as he was picked out twice on our visit and 3 times on Sunday ha ha

User

Visited early Feb not really sure what to expect but really pleasantly surprised. Actors worked their socks off. Really good entertainment and well worth the entrance fee - not sure I’d bring the children but we absolutely loved it and had great fun

User

Me and my husband came here on a rare child free day! I was terrified to even set foot in the place but after being picked to participate in the first room I was put at ease by the actors and for the rest of the tour, I can only say what an amazing place! The actors were fantastic, the props were fab, I laughed, I was scared all at the same time. Even the staff selling the photos were amazing!! Well done guys, keep it up! Would definitely recommend to everyone and will definitely return with my kids when they are a bit older

User

Love the dungeons, such a great atmosphere and journey through history. Brilliantly animated actors and special effects. I have visited all of them up and down the country and they are all fantastic !

User

Love it ! Love it! LOVE IT!

Went there yesterday , Feb 16,2018.

Made my quality time with my 11 years old nephew , Hafiff special.

Good historical story telling through good acting , inteactive theatric performance. Memorable experience. Detailed costumes and good sound , visual effects and background. Not so scary for the children. Will definitely visit again when am in the neighbourhood!

User

Great place to go, my boyfriend and I went on Wednesday and it was fantastic, changed so much since I went as a child and for the better, the only place I know when you can laugh and be scared witless at the same time, everyone should go

User

Fiancé and I went today not quite knowing what to expect, but I’m already itching to go again! The actors played their roles with enthusiasm and never broke character, and although usually I hate audience participation I quite enjoyed being picked! Not only is it an entertaining hour and a half but it’s incredibly informative with historically accurate demonstrations and had something for all age groups. Without a doubt I recommend this place fully.

User

Fantastic tour round the York Dungeons with the company of Summer Holiday. All the actors were on form if your ever in york make sure you visit :)

User

Came on Saturday to escape the blaring heat - what's not to like either when gingers get in for free!! first time I have been since the renovation and I absolutely loved it. The actors were brilliant, it was the perfect length of time and I loved the amount of audience interaction.

User

Called in yesterday, it was absolutely Brilliant, The actors were fantastic, well worth a visit if you want to be frightened to death and have a laugh !

User

Brilliant actors and a selection of great visual effects. A fantastic way to bring history to life and make it both interesting and immersive

User

Absolutely loved it, the stories were amazing, not for the faint hearted! Lol I've never screamed and jumped in all my life, like I did there. But can't wait to go back.

User

A wonderful experience. Well Worth the price.. Actors are so interactive. Would definitely recommend. Scared me.

User

The scenery and atmosphere are really good, even down to the smells. The actors are brilliant, clearly knowing their lines, and putting in tons of enthusiasm, despite performing the role various times a day. Prices were reasonable, especially when booking ahead online. Good crowd interaction, and unexpected thrills. Only quip is it would have been nice to have some parts where you could go around at your own leisure.
