Went here for lunch and have to say the service was excellent. Only went for a drink but after a walk round looking at the shops, came back for lunch. Delicious food and after the waiter overheard that it was my birthday, my dessert was brought out with a candle on, which I thought was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend!

One of the best Italian meals I've ever had , but have to say the staff and service needs an overhaul . We arrived early and I was completely ignored twice at the bar and was made to wait 5 minutes before I was served , the couple of lads that actually served me were so inept that I nearly walked off without getting anything , but then the girl and boy that served in the restaurant were excellent , I've given 5 stars on the back of that I think it's just a one off , but could have very easily have been a 3 because the bar area did really get me that agitated, but have to say that black pudding belly pork starter should be put up for an award , it's that good , one of the best things I've ever tasted

Just took my partner with me to Ziniz. I had the calamari, carbonara and torta Della nonna. She had the mozzarella fritta, lobster parcels and lemon tart and all of it was absolutely gorgeous. Service was great also. Would definitely recommend for anybody looking for quality italian food �

the place where you have a drink could do with being larger, very cramped, however the bartender was great and there was a good atmosphere.

We went here on 09.09 and I can honestly say it was the best Italian meal I have ever had but the service was lacking.



As soon as we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation and as soon as we said no the waiter looked a little annoyed, the restaurant was quiet and it was only around 3.30pm. If it had been later in the evening and busy I would understand this to a certain degree.



We sat down and were asked if we wanted a drink which we proceeded to order, at no point were we asked how we were, why we were there, if it was a special occasion...? It was in fact our first wedding anniversary and we travelled 2 hours to try this restaurant and stay over in Bawtry.

It was a little disheartening to have absolutely no personal touches to our visit.



We were asked if we were enjoying the meal as a standard question.

We have two regular Italian restaurants that we go to which aren't as good food wise but are certainly welcoming and actually make you feel valued as a customer, unfortunately that was not the case here. That's the only thing that has stopped me from giving a 5* review which is a shame.



I do hope that if we decide to visit again (we're back in Bawtry in January) that the service is a little more refreshing.



I would recommend the cheesy garlic bread and the Pork Belly specifically as it was perfection.

Staff always pleasant, food and service I find very good.

Lovely when the sun shines to sit in the courtyard at lunchtime/ early eve.

Always a nice atmosphere too.

We love going to this restaurant however every time we visit the service is varied. We have experienced excellent but also very poor service. I agree with some comments saying none asked if the meal was ok? We ordered after waiting a good 20 minutes to be served then starters served and mains were quick to follow, giving us the feeling we were being ushered to eat and leave as quickly as possible. If I'm spending £100 + on a meal I like to eat at my leisure and take my time to enjoy spending my hard earned wage, if you can't cope with the crowds then perhaps you should employ more staff. The food is beautiful and worth every penny however that extra little hint of better service and it's 5 stars all round.

Visited recently 8th September the food was average however I do usually go to another Italian in hensall but decided to have a change as it had been my 50th birthday 2 days previously, the food was ok but the portions are small and slightly overpriced, whilst waiting for our food we were asked if we would like more drinks we waited 15 mins when we asked where our drinks were they had not been ordered so had to wait a further 5 mins for the drinks,even though the restaurant was only half full the waitress did apologise for not ordering them. All that said I have rated it 3 as I have had better. Think I will stick with the Italian in hensall, I just needed a change of scenery. Friendly staff but disappointing.

I have been a customer of Ziniz since it opened. Until now we've always had well above average, usually excellent experiences...

However, disappointingly, we had exactly the opposite on Friday nite. The service was less than average, the food nowhere near standards we've become accustomed to in Ziniz and overall, we left (with our guests that we'd told to expect an excellent meal etc) disconsolate. The staff on duty, albeit not such a busy service evening treated us with such speed that it was very apparent they wanted us in & out as quick as possible.

The only saving grace was the restaurant manager who was pleasant in the midst of poor / moody waitresses who served us in the main. The fillet steak, a usual for me to be honest, was not the best quality and i found it again, something i'd not expected from many past positive experiences.



I'm sure we'll be back as 1 bad apple etc..... However, this experience was poor enough to warrant me spending tome to leave this constructive feedback.

Ordered the Pork Belly main only for it to arrive very under done. I'm a fan of rare meat but it was totally inedible. My Fiancé had a pizza that appeared to have been cooked & served without cheese.

The couple next to us had incorrect dishes placed in front of them & when challenged the waiter seemed in disbelief that the order was wrong.

A disappointing meal & somewhere I would not recommend.

I was in my mate. Last week. And there was clearly a very upset woman. Because she had to change her kid on the toilet floor. This wasn’t a nice thing I saw and heard. When I went to the toilet the woman was talking to someone in the office. When she said she wouldn’t be coming back because of what had happened this other woman was really rude and and told she had to leave immediately. This wasn’t fair on the woman or kid. My sister has a little girl and I will be telling her not to come. It’s not on in this day and age to not have proper changing tables. This ruined our meal. The food was good. But me and my mate won’t be coming back either. If this is how they treat someone who is upset. Then I don’t think they should be in the customer service trade. This is 0 stars.

Have been tonight and based on service will not go back again. 9 of us dined, they got 2 meals wrong - By time the correct meals came out everyone else had either finished or nearly finished their main courses. Very slow with drinks, nothing to drink with the meal and no one asked if the meals were ok. At £13 - £15 for a pasta you would expect better service and portions. The prawn pasta dish was tasteless with a handful of small prawns and not king prawns as per the menu. When complaining to restaurant manager he didn't seem that bothered with the service. He did remove the service charge but in my opinion he did not do enough. Starters were very good as were most main dishes but service and staff attitude leaves a lot to be desired. Next time we will go elsewhere and very over priced with the bill coming to just under £300.

Got a few drinks in, one minute later told last orders, another minute asked to finish drinks and leave, stared at until we left. Great service chaps

First of all I'm not Mr Complainer and normally don't bother but at £71.00 for a light Sunday lunch I feel I have the right to say. We sat down the waiter was fine I ordered calamari starter and my wife mushrooms the waiter who I recognised fromX Charnwood was friendly he asked if I would like black pepper on my starter I relied I would have liked some calamari to say it was sparse was a understatement it was miserly. Anyway then followed the main again overpriced I thought fior what we had my wife had a Pitza which was tasteless no flavour totally bland hardly any cheese well dry and boring in fact she took it home and gave it he dogs it was sold as a meat feast LOL. I had the tagleteli fish mare which again was very bland no flavour and a total fail. We the. Thought well lets at least have a sweet and be wicked Mmmm you will struggle to find something that hits the sweet spot! Wish I'd have bought a bar of cabburys We had their version of black forests cake it was very boring and nothing special. I had the so called Italian grandmothers cake I left most of it Very unlike me! It was dry tasteless and nothing sweet in fact it was stale IMHO. II used to like going to Zinis but it will be a long time before we go back if ever! The final pain was the bill £71 including pre set tip i thing the whole thing was poor! And well overpriced.

Disgusting service, disgusting attitude of staff!



We were in a group of 6, on arrival at 7.40pm it took us half an hour to get served at the bar, fair enough it was race day so was busy....

The bar was very very unorganised with a supervisor/manager trying his best to manage the inexperienced staff around the tight space behind the bar.



We sat at our table approx 8.15pm the service at this point was satisfactory, we received our starters and more drinks but had to ask for our table water 4 times and had to actually go up to the bar to chase it up (it was busy so we let it go)



We finished our starters and then things took a turn for the worst...

No one came for our plates it took approx 20 mins for them to be collected, then a further 30 mins before we tried to catch someone's attention take take our drinks order which were empty for the full time we were waiting, we also asked where our food was at this point.



To our surprise the waiter (a short older guy with a tie on) proceeded to argue with us about how long we were waiting for our food, he took our drinks order and went back and checked with the kitchen....

He returned after 10 mins (still no drinks) he argued with us a little more while at the table and said our food would be 6 mins precisely and our drinks are on the way.



Because of this shocking service we proceeded to use our stop watch just to strengthen our point the next time he came over... It was 17 mins until our food arrived (STILL NO DRINKS)

Three of the mains were horrible, tasteless and chewy, the waiter offered to replace but considering the length of time they took we were not about to sit for another hour waiting for a replacement so we just didn't eat our food.



We finished our mains and sat for probably 15 mins before we saw our drinks start to be made... By this time we had had enough so we refused the drinks and asked for the bill...



The waiter did give us a 25% discount so we gracefully accepted as we have manners and to be frank we were in shock at what we experienced in such a nice place like Bawtry but we were all in agreement that it was not acceptable and even at the end we confronted the waiter at the service we received and he shrugged his shoulders and said 'well I'm sorry, don't know what else to say'



Our bill still came to over £131.00 even after the discount this is ALLOT of money for such terrible service, poor food and a ruined night.....



After sending a complaint to the restaurant I received a half hearted wishy washy response basically saying the same as the waiter and that the 25% was sufficient for the experience we had.... This the service is DISGUSTING and we will never be returning... We will be telling everyone we know and social media about our experience!
