Boots Opticians

Was 10 minutes late for appointment through no fault of my own. Arrived in good time but car park behind theatre was closed and had to drive to other end of town to find a parking place. That left a 10 minute walk back. Was told they'd have to rebook my appointment. There was no other customer in the shop at this time. When I explained what had happened I was told 'You should do as other people do and arrive early.' ( I had!!). Gobsmacked I declined their offer and went to Specsavers.

I must say the staff are very pleasant, however. I had my eyes tested in mid July informed them that I wished the new lenses to be put into my existing frames as they were designer frames which were quite expensive. I was told both pairs would be ready in 7 days. Over 3 weeks later I received one pair back. They said they would find out when the other pair would be ready. 10 days later I was told they could not find my other pair and because of the inconvenience I was allowed to choose any pair from the store. This was fair enough so I choose a similar pair to the ones they had lost. They said this pair would be ready in 7 days. As I write this 17 days later I have still not received my second pair.
My main concern with this is, why inform people that their lenses will be ready in 7 days when clearly its going to take much longer. I will not be using them in the future.

received a letter to say it was 4 years since my last eye test. this was wrong. during the test which was great need a I say. the optician seemed to have a puzzled look, no wonder she had my daughters previous prescription. didn't have time to look for new glasses so popped in the next day to collect my voucher (nhs) which they didn't put in the folder with my prescription, only to find they hadn't written one so I had to wait for the optician to sign it. the girls are really nice but it seemed to be a mess from beginning to end. :(

Totally dissatisfied

All of my family have attended this branch for several years for tests, glasses and contact lenses. On every occasion, ALL the staff have been excellent, they are always friendly, polite and very helpful whatever the problem is. Their appointment booking is efficient, every appointment has run to schedule and we have never experienced any problems.

I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
