Cecil Amey Opticians

Was a customer for 20+ years. The opticians themselves are pretty decent and friendly. However, whilst it used to be a good, premium-priced optician, it is now mediocre in most respects. Slow refunds for overpayments, which are taken by standing order and then refunded by cheque, which has to be signed off by a senior member of staff, and then posted out by accounts. Very slow to adjust to any changes in the market. It used to be that you'd get much better service here than at your chain store, but the reverse is now true.

Very rude and unhelpful staff. Refused to give a refund for a faulty product. Beware, if anything goes wrong with your purchase with them, they will not refund you. Better to shop elsewhere.
