Our enchanting gift shop is in a unique part of Chester. We are on top of the City Walls just off Northgate, behind the Cathedral.

Pemberleys of Chester opened its doors in October 2014. Due to 3 years Walls Closures next to shop we closed in April 2017. Untenable financial situation forced closure sadly. Customers LOVED our shop and we were devastated to close it thinking we'd be there some time. We are not magicians and sadly couldn't conjure up the loss of footfall and sales and we received NO HELP from anyone we asked (the list is long).

We are a brand new, independent, enchanting gift shop located at one of the most prestigious addresses in Chester - Number 1 City Walls above Northgate, Chester, CH1 2JG. We are right on the walls where they cross Northgate.

Our small shop is packed full of the most lovely gifts and a special area dedicated to fairies and the ethereal. We have something for all ages and tastes. From stunning jewellery pieces and luxurious scarves to gorgeous handmade button creations, word clouds and friendship pins made on the premises. Sculptures and fairy art too from local artists. We also stock prints of Chester. Our shop is full of surprises.

We stock high quality well know brands such as Pia Rossini, Sophie Allport, Katie Alice, Charlotte Bird Fairy Art, FairyDoorz and Bomb Cosmetics. Gift cards by Olive & Belle, Alex Clark and Berni Parker.

We always stock a great range of stylish seasonal products and at Christmas the shop comes alive as it is beautifully decorated, selling decorations and gifts and offering free Christmas Cake.

We are proud of the magical gift shop we have created and are sure that there really is something for everyone. You will find our shop a bright, cheery diversion whilst you enjoy your time on the walls.

Please note that our business hours are dependent on two things, the weather and the time of year. As we are on the highest point of the city walls, we have days off on the rainy /cold /windy days and days in when it is more pleasant. We don't see anyone usually until 10. 30am and most winter days are done by 3. 30. In the summer we open earlier usually 9. 30 and often stay to beyond 6pm.
