What was once a very good facility is no longer fit for purpose. After recent heart surgery my repeat prescription was amended by the cardiologist but it took over 65 minutes of phone time including being twice cut off after 20 minute waits when I was supposedly being transferred from Newington to Calvert even though I had phoned Calvert to finally get them to look into the new prescription. I was told that I had an appointment with a doctor which I knew nothing about. They are like headless chickens and definitely should be put under observation by the NHS.

You like sitting on the phone for hours on end with nobody answering? you like to pay considerable sums of tax each month for a healthcare service which is literally unusable due to practices like this? You like having a 10 minute window each day to compete with thousands of others to get one of the 30 or 40 appointments they will give out that day? If the answer to all of these is yes then this practice is the one for you.

They only care about registering more and more patients in order to get a bigger payout. They don't care about your health, they care about your money, and the NHS allows this behaviour.

The automated telephone booking facility is floored!

Spent 16 minutes going around in circles attempting to just speak to a real person!

Prior to actually managing to speak to someone it had told me 6 times that there where no appointments to see a doctor (at 8.02hrs)! Eventually had to select the ‘home visit’ option to get through to someone!

Would have been quicker to write them a letter requesting an appointment!

Sort it out Calvert

3rd day of constant ringing, when someone does answer the phone they put it straight down, or they do answer and before i can even talk they tell me there's no appointments and put the phone down. And i cant sign up to book online. I dont understand how this is acceptable, the service here is disgusting considering im trying to get help with my mental health. This is also the same when my mum tries to get an appointment.

Automated phone line with no appointment service available, each option to be put thru to another service cuts you off..disgusting service especially when I need an appointment for my very poorly little boy who has high temperature, and tonsillitis....

This place is a joke and should be shut down. It is not fit for purpose. The telephone system does not work.

The receptionists ask you loads of personal questions before they allow you to have any appointment they really push you to tell them exactly what is wrong even if it's severe bowl evacuation problems which requires different laxatives and all the patients in there hear you. It is so embarrassing. Worse enough having to explain it to a Dr let alone a receptionist who is unqualified in any thing medical.

Awful surgery, really gone down hill. Expect to make 50 - 100 calls to try and get an appointment, you're lucky if you get one. Why don't they simply have a phone queuing system instead of having to put the phone down and dial again everytime? Dr S Javed (I think he's new at this surgery haven't seen him before) acts like a robot, you are not allowed to explain your problem to him, he told me I can only answer yes and no to his questions to make it quicker. I tried explaining to him about other medication I was on which may be causing the issue, he told me it was irrelevant and referred me to the 'Yes and No' rules set out at the beginning. Was prescribed 3 items without proper instruction on how/when to take them or no possible side effects explained and what to do and told to come back in 3 weeks if my issue isn't resolved. Then rushed out for the next cattle to be rushed in. TOO MANY PATIENTS, NOT ENOUGH GP'S, POOR RECEPTION SERVICE (who freely ask you private and confidential information so they can decide if you need to see the doctor, whilst they are sat only feet away from the waiting area, I have overheard many personal things about other people whilst sat in the waiting room)
OVERALL POORLY RAN AND MANAGED SURGERY FULL OF UNINTERESTED STAFF WHO JUST WANT TO PUSH EVERYONE THROUGH AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Every time I've phoned and visited the staff have been polite and efficient. Can't recall having to wait too long for an appointment. Very pleased with the service.

Dr moe, probably the worst gp I've met, after going in with pain in my kidneys and blood in my urine, he said to me it won't be a kidney infection as I am not a woman, 24hrs later after getting worse I am on a drip at hull royal infirmary with a kidney infection.. utter joke, will be moving to a different doctors asap
