Great food, great wine, great service. Wonderful garden for afternoon tea if it's sunny. Wander outside after lunch for a stretch and a post-meal drink.

Traditional cooking, using high-quality local produce in this long-established restaurant, tea room and art gallery. Serve-yourself morning coffee until 11:30, afternoon tea from 15:00 to 17:30. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced.

Exhibitions by local artists change monthly.

Fantastic as always. Wonderful to see a restaurant maintain it standards of service, food, and ambiance over the 30 something years we have been visiting. Everyone we have introduced to the Old Fire Engine house has loved it. Well worth the 45 mile drive to get there.

Friendly staff. Lovely set out restaurant . clean. Great choice on menu.The food was excellent tasty good ingredients used nice portion size and was asked if wanted more food during the main course what a nice touch.

Small, cozy, romantic & food so so fresh! Walk into an old house & enjoy an art gallery as well as a fine restaurant.

One of the rooms has been converted into a bar and to get to the main dining room you have to walk through the kitchen!

The food can best be described as homely with very fresh ingredients. Highly recommended for small parties for an intimate dinner
