So last night we were invited to a very special event indeed, in honour of one of my oldest friends, Neil Moodie. It was his Coeterie event hosted by Creative Head Magazine, and was a celebration of his thirty four year hairdressing career. With input from close friends; Karl Plewka, respected fashion director, stylist and editor of the Beauty Papers, and internationally-renowned make-up artist Wendy Rowe. We were treated to a real in depth view of what it is actually like to work within a creative team in the fashion industry. We were honoured to be invited and attend this very special evening, having worked with Neil as his first assistant for five years, the evening made me especially proud to see his incredible achievements rightly recognised and celebrated. Well finally made my first visit to the salon today on the hottest day of the year and was made very welcome by Matt and his staff. As I was driving I had to decline the very tempting offer of a chilled glass of wine and opt instead for a glass of iced water which was actually very refreshing. The decor in the salon is amazing and the photos are brilliant. The salon is also air conditioned which made the whole experience extra cool. Thank you Matt for my haircut , will be seeing you again soon. Angie

This was my first experience in a salon after fourteen years of using a mobile hairdressers, I had a very attentive consultation with Matt about my cut and then Chrissie about my colour. Both put me at ease straightaway and I went on to to have my cut and colour and couldn't be happier with the result. I will be returning to foureighty in the very near future! So, from a very fussy Essex Girl this is a high accolade to give however Four Eighty is probably one of the best salons in our area! Been around the hairdressing block a few times.

What's not to love about foureighty! The salon is gorgeous, cool and edgy but very warm and welcoming at the same time as is Matt, the hair god/genius of fur taming, as I now refer to him!

So I decided to try this salon out as its local and had read good reviews. I was a little bit unsure to be honest coz of the price as slightly more than mainstream hairdressers. Well the saying goes you get what you pay for.

Lovely atmosphere and very relaxed. No rushing for the next customer.

Matt listens to what you would like and gives suggestions based on your hair type.

I'm now going back again and can't wait. Would highly recommend

Never a big fan of of having my hair cut but Matt makes it an enjoyable hour and always great conversation.Nice bloke and great background music too.Always a great haircut and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

My mum had her haircut by Matt! Fantastic hairdresser! Best haircut she's had! looked 10 yrs younger! She let him do what he thought would suit her and it looked amazing! Place is really welcoming and really beautifully decorated. Matt was very professional and really friendly! He even offered to come in early to accommodate her! Very impressed!

Matt is amazing, he is the stylist I have spent years looking for! I thought I would have to go to london for this type of service and cut. He takes his time to talk to you first, assess your hair and understand what you want before explaining what he thinks is the best option for you. The salon is really cool, it has a great atmosphere and you do not feel rushed at all. When you are there you have Matts full attention and you can tell he really is a professional and knows his craft. I went in with limp lifeless hair and came out with a style that felt healthy and sleek. Great experience and I will definitely be going back.

You always come away with a superb new haircut.

His salon is brilliant, has a great vibe, interesting pictures adorn the walls, lovely incense burning in the background, even the furniture is unique.

Iv just got say what a great salon this is�, I have been looking for a new hairdresser for about two years I have short hair and like a lot of people and really fussy.

While I was out I saw a girl with a really great haircut I asked where she had it cut and I went from there.

The salon is not like any other salon, it has its own unique coolness, it’s really relaxed and Matt who owns it is lovely and Nina who cut my hair is my saviour so glad I have found this little gem of a salon.

I would 100% recommend anyone to this salon any age!!

I was recommended to Foureighty by a friend and after what she had said about Matt I decided to book an appointment with him. Usually, I am quite nervous about going to a new hairdresser but as soon as I met Matt I was immediately at ease. Like many ladies, I am extremely fussy about my hair and it was great to know that Matt is very aware of this.



From the minute you walk into the Salon you feel a sense of understated professionalism and customer service. The ambience of the salon is cool and relaxed and the staff are very friendly and I found quietly confident in their ability as hairdressers, I found Matt instinctively knew what I wanted.



I am so pleased I made the decision to appoint foureighty as my hairdressers as I am so happy with my hair and I would not hesitate in recommending Matt and his salon.

He's full of great ideas as well so when initially I was a little bit unsure what I wanted he gave me great advice. I don't live locally to Shenfield but I always chose Matt to cut my hair.

I had won a raffle prize that was donated to Hutton all saints school by four eighty hairdressers for wash cut blow dry. Well got to use it today all I can say is Matt made me feel welcome in his Hairdressers lovely decor and music.. He made me feel amazing my hair looks and feels great.. he spent 2 hours making my hair manageable and looking glam. I will defo visit again. I was happy with the final finish of my hairstyle. Gave me good tips on how to manage and style my hair. It was lovely talking to you Matt thank you so much. 5 stars well deserved brilliant perfect. Kerry

Foureighty is a unique experience in these days of bland samey salon's. Matt provides a very personal service tailored to the individual needs of the customer. I'm someone who does not enjoy visiting the hairdresser, but I love the foureighty experience and the Windle & Moody products
