Introducing, Mat...
...Mat is our newest addition to Team Sheldon. And, we are exceedingly excited that he has chosen to work alongside us.
... Mat’s specialisms fall into two treatment categories - massage (including pre-natal) and facials.
In a past life, Mat studied at The Royal Ballet School and later gained a successful career as a professional dancer, dancing his way all through Europe.
Having previously been such a disciplined athlete, Mat has always understood the importance of massage and the key benefits of a good facial and skin care regimen.
Mat, has been a therapist now for over fifteen years, with thirteen of those years spent working in London for Agua @ Sanderson.
Mat, has worked alongside renowned facialist, Eve Lom and possesses a large portfolio of celebrity clients to-boot.
Here’s what, Mat has to say:
“...We are all unique, each with an individual requirement for a facial treatment or massage, whether it be hydration, anti-aging, comfort, relaxation, seeking balance or relief from muscle pain or soreness..? However, these are treatments that we should all be having and regularly!

A few lines on International Women’s Day from a big brother.

What an absolute find!!!! We had my best friend's hen do here and had the whole place to ourselves, and it was fabulous!

The staff are very friendly, attentive and just lovely. The spa is beautiful and so clean! Will be booking up to go again very soon!

What a find! I visited here for the first time today but will definitely be back. I have had regular back, neck and shoulder massages for several years, in various different places, some much better than others. The massage I had today was one of the best I have ever had... probably the best I've had in the UK! The therapist Louise was friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and the setting is lovely. It was an excellent experience all round and can already feel that the pain from my long-term vertebrae problem is significantly improved. A very satisfied customer! I am planning regular repeat visits as well as the occasional treat to use the rest of the facilities too!

WOW! This was my second visit and it was just as amazing as the first time. Lovely treatment and already booked to go back in July! Loved it! Thanks Jo xx

Visited yesterday and had the best Indian head massage and spa experience I've had in a very long time. The therapists were both excellent and the spa setting and facilities were everything I'd hoped for and much more. I would happily become a regular if I didn't live in London! Nonetheless very much looking forward to my next visit. Thank you very much Jo & your lovely colleague.

This is exactly how a spa should be (rather than a hotel with a pool and jacuzzi, or a salon that has a massage room). Gorgeous relaxing facilities, lovely food (with a good portion), and a good range of treatments that over the last five years have never been disappointing. Money well spent.

Sheldon Spa is a little gem near Faversham in the countryside. My daughter and I had a three hour spa package as we needed a treat. We added an afternoon tea as well which was really nice. I loved the exclusivity, the setting and peace and quiet. We both opted for the neck and back massage which was excellent. Sheldon spa is very well laid out with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna the changing/shower area is cute and well equipped with good products i.e shampoo/conditioner. The owner is very professional and is very much hands on.

My sister and I had the most amazing day here, all paid for by our husbands

It’s was lovely the food the treatment the staff all amazing couldn’t of asked for a better day

Ive just arrived home after spending 4 hours at sheldon lodge celebrating a surprise 40th birthday treat for my sister, with family and friends. It is an excellent spa where everything is spotlessly clean and so peaceful. The treatments are relaxing and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you to the staff who looked after us all so well. See you all again xxx

It has a feeling of privacy and tranquillity, which immediately makes you relax. I enjoyed it more because it is not a commercialised chain and busy all around for different gym activities.



I went there for a hen and it was a great time. Our four hours passed very quickly but I came out feeling like I had been on a mini holiday and had got away from it all. The atmosphere and ambience helped our group of 'hens' to relax and get to know each other very quickly.



This is a real bonus if you don't all know each other beforehand and the surroundings and treatments gave us lots to talk about. The rotation for treatments also helped to move the clusters of people round with each other, so we got to speak with all our ladies. I thought this was particularly nice.



The treatment ladies were all helpful and were available but not intrusive while we enjoyed the spa.



The spa is a hidden treasure and I would recommend it to anyone. Our hens were all so relaxed we immediately had a great time for our drinks and meal together after. I can't think of anything that would have made us so comfortable.



Well done Sheldon Spa and thank you for an afternoon that felt like a mini holiday!

I just had a fabulous visit here with my daughter and daughter-in-law ( who is 7 months pregnant). I was extremely grateful and thrilled that they they were able to provide a masseuse who is specifically qualified in pregnancy massages( apparently it was amazing). We all had a great time and will certainly return.

I have just come home from visiting Sheldon Spa, I had a great experience. The staff where so lovely and friendly! The actual spa itself feels very private and set in a nice quiet area. I opted for the Indian head massage and upgraded it to last an hour. It was soooo relaxing & to die for! �

I had an amazing spa day with my family yesterday, post wedding treat from my husbands beautiful, kind and caring family!

I had the most relaxing day and my treatment( Clarins facial) was just wonderful!

I can’t recommend this spa highly enough. It has a wonderfully intimate, boutique feel. For most of the morning it was just myself and my Mum there and it felt like we had our own private spa. Everything from the warm welcome, the amazing hour long full body massage to the spa facilities and the divine cream tea were exceptional. This will not be my last trip to Sheldon Spa. I love it and so did my Mum!

I came to Sheldon Spa for a post wedding Hen Do with my best friend and sister and had the most amazing time! Staff went above and beyond to make our time memorable and the facilities/treatments are the best we've ever experienced. Thank you so much, for making our day one to remember. We'll be back with other excuses to have a day here!

Had yet another Christmas spa day treat with the girls in my family, as always the massages were fantastic, lunch was delicious and we had a brilliant time. My only criticism- 5 hours goes waaaaay too fast! Thank you x

Had a wonderful spa treat to celebrate birthdays with a good friend and my lovely sister at one of my favourite places in the world � Perfect as always and it's all the little touches, the lovely staff and the tranquil calm beautiful setting that make this place so special. Absolutely fantastic place. Went yesterday afternoon with a friend for birthday treats. It's so serene only us and two other couples of friends all afternoon. The treatments are so relaxing g I was dropping off asleep. Staff warm and friendly and can't do enough for you. The cream tea was fabulous. Will be back as soon as we think of another excuse to visit lol
