Daiwa Tournament TS5000T, SS3000, New TS5000BE Line Clip Upgrade.
These sprung loaded line friendly clips are designed to be cast against time after time replacing the original shark tooth line retainer. Made from anodised alloy and fitted with a stainless steel spring and retainer avoiding corrosion or loss of tension over time. The clips are available finished either anodised Black or Silver which can be plain or have a coloured detail dot in the centre to match the reels detail colour. We would require your spools sending to us to carry out the conversion to ensure correct fitment and the cost is £10.00 per spool plus return P&P.

Custom Reels Daiwa Basia Slik Dragz clutch Upgrade.
This woven carbon fibre washer replaces the original manufactures Graphite card washer and is compatible with the Basia QD/QDX/DCR/Basiair/Basiair Z45QD spools. With an increased surface area which vastly improves sensitivity and smoothness eliminating the initial snatch which occurs with the standard graphite card washer. These kits can be supplied as a self fit kit and only require basic knowledge and a small philips screw... driver to carry out. Simply remove the 3x screws securing the top plate and remove the seal and anodised Gold fixed clicker plate. Remove the original washer and wipe any old grease from the top of the spool and the underside of the Gold plate, apply a small amount of Custom Reels clutch grease (supplied) to both sides of the carbon washer and re fit in reverse order making sure the rubber seal is located the correct way up. This is all well and good if you do not use the clutch to play fish and simply want a bait runner facility with very little clutch operation however we feel this spoils one of the best attr...ibutes of the legendary Whisker SS3000 the clutch!!. Slik Dragz by Custom Reels.
Our performance clutch upgrades are made from the latest high quality woven carbon fibre material which is up to 30 times more durable than conventional clutch washers. These upgrades significantly improve the performance and sensitivity of the clutch over that of the manufactures standard greased felt or graphite card washers thus increasing efficiency and helping eliminate line breakage. Our replacement Carbon washers can be fitted dry or applied... with small amount of Custom Reels clutch grease (supplied with each kit). The grease supplied is formulated with sub-micron ceramic particles, Teflon fluoropolymer and premium non-toxic synthetic oils which is guaranteed to optimise the performance, efficiency and smoothness of the clutch. These kits can be supplied as a self fit kit or can be added as an upgraded whilst your reels are in having a service and tune-up. We recommend that the clutch barrel and metal washers are throughly cleaned using white spirit or automotive brake disc cleaner prior to fitting to remove any traces of old grease, apply a small amount of grease to each side of the carbon washers to fit. We where asked earlier on this year to commission some reels for Colin Davidson of the Anglers Mail and we jumped at the chance!!. The reels supplied where some old Japanese Daiwa Emblem S4500t's and we started to work our magic. These reels featured in the September 9th edition of the Anglers Mail. Colin's two must have wishes where micro adjustment clutches and short handles to improve the balance. The Clutches have been fitted with micro adjustment clutch caps and our own ...Slik Drag'z carbon clutch washers which are tuned to operate at 3 full turns from free running to locked up still allowing the full spectrum of clutch use unlike a QD conversion. They have now been fitted with 7x Japanese stainless steel bearings, Red/Brown stripe wooden knobs with matt Black anodised alloy spigots, matt Black anodised sprung loaded line clips then finished in Carbon wrap and contrasting metallic paint and of course the short handles!. Not to everyones taste but they will certainly get heads turning when he's out on the bank. Here's the result!!.
