We visited for a champagne afternoon tea on Mothers Day with our toddler daughter and had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful, with a fun and quirky twist. The staff were fantastic and really great with our little girl, so warm and welcoming which isn't often the case with children in such nice hotels 😁 Of course the food was delicious with a perfect champagne chosen by the bar staff to complement our chosen tea. All in all a lovely time had by our little family and we'd love to come back when we visit Bath again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

User

We started our evening with wine and chocolate tasting in the igloo bar, the bar is lovely and cosy and we would visit for more events the hotel may hold. The wine and chocolate was lovely and we learnt a great deal, being novices at wine tasting and other chocolates that are not Cadbury. We moved upstairs to the restaurant and got seated by very friendly polite staff. The meal was from a set menu and we had the mackerel for starters and salmon for main course. Both were cooked great and tasted even better. Shaun the duty manager I think was waiting on us and was excellent and really attentive. To top off a great evening we had sticky toffe pudding and ginger creme brûlée which were incredible. Highly recommend a visit here and great value for money. A real hidden gem of a place to eat.

User

This is our second visit with our dogs and again the Abbey Hotel delivers. The staff are amazingly friendly and extremely helpful. The food is fantastic, so we ate here every evening along with our dogs in the bar area. I say the bar area but due to the layout and the art it felt like a private designed dining experience. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

The Abbey Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel in Bath city centre. It is not far from the River Avon and almost next to the Historic Bath Abbey(hence the name).

The staff are world class. They are friendly and attentive. They are truly an asset to this hotel. Our family room was spacious and clean. I requested a nice view and was not disappointed. The decor was superb. I also loved the bathroom. There was a modern take on and old fashioned pull/ flush w.c.

The breakfast that is included in the cost was varied and filling. There is a vegetarian option that could easily be adapted to be vegan.

The public access restrooms are also clean and tastefully designed.

Parking is available a 2 minute walk away at Manvers street which is a secure, CCTV covered car park. As per 2017, it costs £12.50 for 6 to 24 hours.

Ill definitely be back on my next trip to Bath. Compares favourably to any US four star hotel worth its salt.

User

Thank you for fantastic service we have had from Christa in organising and Laura for the fantastic service we have all had in watching the Wales v all blacks game today at the abbey hotel-cannot praise your service enough.

Sorry to Laura for the screaming when she came into the room, shame about the score.

See you next year.x

User

Lovely hotel, room was amazing plenty of room for us to get ready and very clean, bed was very comfy also.

My partner proposed on our stay and the staff there were brilliant! They really helped with all the details and planning that my partner did, nothing was too much. We were given complimentary champagne after he proposed also which I thought was lovely of them.

Food was amazing, cooked beautifully.

Parking was the only downside, we had to park down the road but didn’t put a damper on our stay!!

Highly recommend Bath and The Abbey Hotel.

User

Just back from our second stay here and had a fabulous birthday break with friends. We were so pleased to receive a room upgrade and card and cake from the staff to help me celebrate. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to return

User

I hired the Igloo bar for my 50th Birthday party, absolutely brilliant venue. Lovely helpful employees. I recommend highly.

Hubby & i have just come back from a lovely 2,day's/nights stay 8-10th April 2018 at The Abbey Hotel we stayed in Room 131 Standard Double Room Very Spacious, Clean, Quiet, with a fab bed it was the most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on, We chose the hotel for its fab location so close to The Abbey, Pultney Bridge, Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, Shops, Restaurants etc..... The Staff are all so smiley & friendly, We had a lovely dinner on our 1st eve in The Allium Restaurant & Cocktails in the Quirky Artbar very relaxing with nice background music, Plenty of choices at breakfast & a lovely fry up! We parked at Manvers street car park about 200 yards away from the hotel it was £12.50 for 24,hours. We would highly recommend staying here & we would come back to visit bath again but in the summer time as it rained during our visit. Michaela & Tony Bean from Bedfordshire, U.K.

User

Have come over from Australia and stayed twice (once for the three day Christmas package, once for New Years - the Great Gatsby themed party last year was tremendous) and would stay again. Great staff, great location, great food. The vibe in the bar is tremendous and the cocktail list is superb. My partner and I loved it so much in 2013 that I proposed to her there in our room on this very day last year! A special place to us forever. Love it.

User

Had a lovely stay in May, room was very nice and spacious, staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Fleur on the reception desk (who has mind reading powers), Sahara and Vittoria were also worthy of a mention too. I have no doubt that we'll be back at some point..Thank you for an excellent stay.

User

Had a lovely long weekend in a deluxe double room which was quiet, spacious, and clean. The staff was friendly and the hotel itself is well decorated. The Artbar is awesome and the bartenders make amazing drinks. The brasserie provides a yummy breakfast, but dinner is where they really shine with a great menu of well presented and tasty dishes, many of which are also available via room service. The location cannot be beat, as it is central to all major attractions in the heart of Bath. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Bath. I’m already craving their amazing cocktails again. Great place!

User

Enjoyed a recent escape to this perfectly located hotel. Very welcoming and accommodating staff on arrival and the bar staff had a great sense of humour, not to mention their incredible shirts and braces - wow! The decor is incredible, the ambiance is relaxing and very chilled. The food was fabulous and faultless and the white wine spritzer was perfect in every way. The pot of tea was an occasion and we loved every minute. Thank you Abbey Hotel, Bath, we shall return :-)

User

Didn’t stay, just called in for pre dinner drinks and loved the place. The barman was extremely knowledgable and was such a decent guy, so much so we called back after dinner 🥂

User

A terrific location, very friendly staff, nice bar, a very good room clean and a lovely bed, and the breakfast is actually made for you. there were only 1 small gripe, the hotel restaurant was full with a function and a coach party, so we couldn't eat in, however we found a very nice Italian restaurant nearby, I have stayed in many hotels throughout the World and I would highly recommend the Abby

A big thank you to Christa, Shaun and all the staff who made my daughters birthday celebration such a lovely time. The food was fabulous and we will definitely be looking for more reasons to visit.

User

Nice hotel, great attentive staff. allowed dog which is great even supplied little doggy bag with a kong ball/food/treat. Clean spacious room, breakfast included was lovely. Bar nicely decorated but tad expensive. Close to centre, but no noise keeping you awake. Massive bed, iPad in the room with info on hotel and attractions which is good. Will be back I'm sure. Note: car park on manver street 2 min walk away, secure parking 24hrs.

User

Small room which was an “upgrade” with noise from outside at night from bins and air conditioning going on and off.

Nice quality furnishings and helpful staff. Excellent central location.

Car parking is an issue in Bath nearby in the city centre so had to park some distance away.

Breakfast was good. Overall impression very overpriced for what you get.

User

I stay in Bath a lot. This is my last-resort hotel if everything else is booked. For me it is a tourist hotel i.e. fairly poor for top dollar. Location is good but tourist orientated. Other than that it is frumpy and under-invested and rooms can be cramped. There is certainly better accommodation for the same or less in Bath.
