About Ballycastle Golf Club

Ballycastle Golf Club, situated on the beautiful North Antrim coast of N. Ireland. 18 Holes, part links, part parkland, with spectacular coastal views.

Ballycastle Golf Club Description

Ballycastle Golf Club, founded in 1890, sits yards from the shoreline on the Causeway Coast, a spectacular stretch of golfing coastline of unsurpassed beauty. The golf course is one of the most scenic in Northern Ireland and has a multitude of personalities from tame parkland holes to wild links offerings and includes flat and low-lying holes and a back nine that launches you up into seaside hills that command panoramic views of the town of Ballycastle, Fair Head, Rathlin Island and on a clear day the Mull of Kintyre. It’s exposed location and the typical challenging conditions call for real shot making, from punched long irons, little bump and runs to hitting under the wind. This is how the game originally started and what real golf is all about. By the end of the round there is no doubt that you will have used every shot in your bag.

After your game don’t forget to enjoy a relaxing drink and quality dining in our comfortable Lounge Bar.

Both low and high handicap golfers will find this course challenging and with the championship links of Royal Portrush and Portstewart as it’s closest neighbours Ballycastle should be included in every golfers itinerary when playing golf in this area.

Ballycastle Golf Club is assured for excellence and quality by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and offers a well maintained golf course along with a friendly welcome from the Clubhouse staff. We look forward to your next visit.

RNLI LADIES OPEN SCRAMBLE Ballycastle Ladies would like to thank Ciaran and Mary O’Driscoll of the Rathlin Island Ferry Ltd for their generous sponsorship of our annual RNLI Open. Congratulations to member Rosie McCrea and her two visitors Deirdre Bones and Jenny Bain from Rockmount Golf Club who were the winners. The atrocious weather, particularly in the morning, meant the timesheet was somewhat depleted of entries. It was lovely however to see (in a break in the showe...rs) Paula Rooney and her daughters Ann and Toni out on the course. Paula won't mind us saying that at 83 she is an example to us all for participating in this very worthy cause. There was also an unusual phenomenon of a rainbow over the sea. Well worth getting soaked for. Full results can be found for members on Masterscoreboard. http://www.masterscoreboard.co.uk/results /Result.php…

If you are around on Monday, so pop down to the club and give Justin some support - moral and financial - what a wonderful challenge he has taken on.

Played today. Not long but very tricky.

Got fixed up with ten other members and had a sweep. Made feel very welcome and was treated great and would like to thank the lads for a great day. The course is in great condition five inland holes thirthteen links with the best views.

User

Great course, great views and well looked after.

User

Difficult course with the strong wind. Greens very fast and true. The view on the links section were great. You need to play it a few times to know where not to drive it. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

User

Best course in the world (can safely say that after scoring my best round ever @ 40 stableford points ).

User
