Last two days of the sale in the Bookshelf everybody . A few quality books left so come down and fill up your bookshelves . All books £1 each.

Hello. I am still in full sale mode with books on all subjects at only £1.00 each. But there is only another week to go as I will be closing down for a refurbishment next Friday. The plan is to reopen at Easter with a sparkling new shop where I will still Have books on art and design, local history and some literature. And walls will be cleared for pictures by local artists with out first artist being the famous Dav White. My shop/ gallery will be called Gallery 6 and I hope to see my regulars there. Watch this space for more information. And many thanks to all customers of the Bookshelf over the years. Don't go away. It will be the same but different.

Hi everyone massive sale still going on at the Bookshelf. Trains , history religion, fiction, books about almost everything . I'm open tomorrow and for the time being mostly on Wednesday Friday and Saturdays . But if you can't make those days, I'm in scarborough so ring or message and I'll come and open up. Even early evenings. So hoping to see you.

Children's books added to the sale. Favourites from Wind in the Willows to Harry Potter. So skate down to have a look . And I'm not closing down you'll all be pleased to hear . Just going for a badly needed refurb and a slight change of use.

New year sale of books in the shop starting tomorrow. Every book in the window is £5 or under. They've been online so they're a bit quirky and unusual. Come along and see if anything catches your eye. This sale is the start of a new look for the shop so there will be lots more books at reduced prices soon

Lovely Write for Rights event in the shop yesterday for amnesty international. We wrote 66 cards. Thanks to everyone who came. And don't forget our shop Christmas party this coming Saturday 2 to 6 pm All friends and customers welcome. And we have a box in the shop for donations to the Rainbow Centre if you've got something useful bring it down .

Hi just to remind everybody our Write for Rights session for Amnesty international will be in the shop a week today. Please come and write a quick message to someone who needs it. The Bookshelf, 6 Victoria Rd. December 10th, 3-5 pm. Looking forward to seeing you. There will be tea and cake.

I've got a box of nice clean Ladybird books in the shop and wonder if there's a nursery or child centre out there that would like them . They're free or you can make a donation to charity if you like.

Hi everybody . Two forthcoming events. It's a bit early and I will remind you nearer the time Firstly there will be a Write for Rights session in the shop on Human Rights day December 10th. 3-5 pm. Held by our Scarborough Amnesty International group. Tea and cake will be provided. Do join us even if you're not a member. Secondly our shop Christmas party will be on 15th December starting about 2pm. All customers and friends invited . More info and reminders later.

Hi everyone welcome to Autumn. And a special welcome to all the students who have come to join us in in Scarborough. Please come and experience the delights of a real bookshop on Victoria Rd. I specialise in the arts and am proud to exhibit work by local artists. At the moment there are prints by Peter Watson which are great. So hope to see you and all my regulars as well .

Hi all even more art and fashion books have come in recently. Am dressing the window so that although we are closed tomorrow Saturday 14th you can come and have a look. Then we will be open as usual on Tuesday. Hope to see you soon!

Sorry I haven't posted lately but nothing exciting has been happening. Now it has. A lovely lady arrived yesterday with a car full of lovely books. Art, architecture, history and philosophy of art etc. Lots in the window now and a pile in the shop which I am pricing up. So come down to the Bookshelf and get blown away by the wonder. Note we are closed on Saturday this week as we're all away. But open tomorrow and as normal on Tuesday. See you soon
