On Tuesday this little one caused us a lot of worry! Her mum Bow went into labour but it soon became clear that she was struggling. We did our best to assist but a call to the vet had to be made. A lovely vet called Fiona rushed to the farm but unfortunately a natural birth wasn’t an option. Fiona carried out an emergency C section and successfully delivered this beautiful nanny kid. Bow was obviously exhausted and due to the trauma of the birth, the kid was very weak so we have had to bottle feed her. We are also having to monitor her as she is still quite wobbly on her feet. Very thankful to say that both mum and kid are ok after their ordeal thanks to the amazing skill of the vet so, what better name to call the little one than Fiona! (Or Fifi for short) ❤️❤️

Had the absolute pleasure of being visited by Zen Ten Baby today! The creator of the page, Priti was inspired to start her own page and blog after a traumatic birth, feeling clueless to know what to do with a new born, struggling with her child for almost a year and experiencing severe post natal anxiety....her adjustment to motherhood was difficult. Instead of letting those demons beat her, she decided to reach out to other parents feeling the same. She is now visiting diffe...rent places with her beautiful, confident and happy daughter Bailey, to review them for other parents that struggle. This lady is an inspiration, she is sending out the message that sometimes it’s ok not to be ok as a parent! Please check out her page and especially her blog, it’s incredibly (heart on sleeve) honest and very informative for those parents that are feeling isolated. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fb id=786628608376014&id=40343055336249 0

Don’t think Pablo wants to play, Clarence 😂

User

Clarence ❤️

We were greeted by this beautiful baby boy this morning! Both him and mum are doing well. He has been named Clarence by Claire Andrews who is a volunteer at the farm and also a good friend of ours ❤️

With the early arrival of adorable little Pablo, we’ve been busy rearranging the barn to make space for the pitter patter of more little hooves! We will have a space where new mummies can bond with their babies, if you see this sign when visiting us, please be mindful that the bonding process is important and like any mum after giving birth.....she will want some quiet time with her little one ❤️

Update on Harry! Many of you met our Umbrella Cockatoo last year who made a big impression with his vocal and dancing skills! He is currently enjoying the colder months having lots of fuss in the warm. Harry shall be returning to the farm as soon as the weather improves so he can again welcome and interact with you all. He loves being centre stage ❤️🦜

Our short legged Dexter cows, Lupin and Lobelia have enjoyed a day soaking up this unusual February sunshine! 🐮☀️

Due to the milder weather recently, we’ve noticed an increase of flies around our horses so we’ve treated them all to new fly rugs and masks. Here is our pony, Raggs modelling them. A visitor that came to the farm the other day hadn’t seen a fly mask before and was concerned that our horses couldn’t see. The masks and rugs are made from a mesh type material that is totally see through so it doesn’t affect their vision and keeps those pesky flies from driving them mad. 😃🐴

Getting ready for our official first open day of 2019 tomorrow! We have our free activity ‘Half Term Herding’ on all week. Are your little ones able to find all of our naughty rainbow sheep that have escaped their pen? Prizes given to all junior shepherds that manage to track them down 🌈🐑

What a lovely place. The staff and the animals were lovely and in such a natural environment. Great prices and so many animals to see in lots of space. Some were roaming free which was lovely and the pumpkin carving was a nice seasonal extra. Great children's play areas, my 2 year old nephew loved it. I would recommend this as a lovely day out.

Went with my family (it was my daughters first trip to a farm) and we really enjoyed it. It was lovely to feed the animals and the staff were really nice and helpful. We even had a bite to eat ourselves in the cafe. It was a lovely little cafe. We went in at peak busy time so we had to wait a bit for food but the service was fantastic and they didn't forget about us and made sure we had enough to drink. Will definitely be visiting again.

We visited for the first time today and had a fantastic day! We really enjoyed feeding the animals, the tractor-trailer ride, searching for (wooden) ghosts and carving pumpkins. The food in the cafe was reasonably priced and tasty. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Asking for dietary requirements/allergies and intolerances before giving a little (food) prize for completing the ghost hunt was very thoughtful and I love that you can borrow ear defenders if your child is sensitive to noise. Well worth a visit

User

We all love coming to this farm , my son absolutely adores it here , it’s quiet and such lovely friendly people who own it . Sure we will be making many more visits

Visited the farm yesterday with my son who is nearly 3. We had a lovely morning looking round the animals- he loved feeding them, especially the goats! There are several little play areas where children can play, my son especially loved the sand pit! Great that there is an open picnic area as well as one covered by a roof. We got caught in a thunderstorm while we were there but my little one was more than happy to play in the play barn- plenty to keep him amused! A lovely family farm perfect for toddlers! Thanks!

This is amazing value for money. It's small but has everything that Ash End had at a third of the price! My son is a bit jittery around the goats as they are very bolshy but loved the cat and the little lamb that were wandering around the farm freely. They do a free tractor ride and they had wooden coloured eggs dotted around the place so the kids could do an Easter egg hunt with a little chocolate treat for completing. You can tell the staff own this farm as they are super encouraging and enthusiastic about their animals and activities. There is an outdoor play area, sandpit, swings and a slide, a barn with ride -ons and an indoor play area for small kids with soft play.

There are quirky little things all over the farm. You almost feel like you're visiting your grandmas family farm. Nothing fancy, just everything you need for kids to have fun.

The cafe offers a good range of food and snacks and service is with a smile. I was also told today that an annual pass for a family of 4 is £40!!!! I shall be investing!

Really nice friendly farm. A place where you can actually interact with the animals rather then seeing through a fence. My 8 year old niece loved it especially the goats and I think if my mum could of got a way with it Ed (big cheecky goat in barn) would of been smuggled home with us sharing a bed with my dog lol. Cafe was lovely and non expensive for an attraction so regretted bringing a picnic and the playbarn was a great surprise for my niece. Free parking is a huge bonus. People have gave bad reviews about the animals but what I could see was the animals were happy and well fed and I'm no vet but contempt and felt safe enough to have babies.

from the Turnbull family we loved it and will be coming back soon along with friends. Next time we be dining in the cafe and making sure Ed doesn't grab are coats lol x

User

Really lovely farm, very friendly staff. Great for small children being interactive with the animals. Very reasonable prices!!

Can highly recommend the Tea Rooms had a lovely lunch.

It’s a shame some of the visitors didn’t have the courtesy to not drop the paper bags from the animal feed on the floor.

User

Me and my daughter visited on Monday and had a lovely day feeding the animals. My daughter fell in love with the lamb. And today she spent time with her nanny and grandad and took them to the farm again xx

User

Lovely place to bring kids and a good place for adults too, prices are very good to enter and also only 50p a bag for animal food, very friendly staff too and the tea rooms do a great latte and ‘special’ hot choc for the kids, would recommend and come again!

User

Had lovely few hours here, not too pricey, can feed animals which my kids loved, two outdoor play areas and indoor soft play... Some funny goats and tractor ride.

User

Had a fab time yesterday 25/10/17 Came with our free entry we won, We really enjoyed it, All the staff was very welcoming when we entered, friendly animals that was extremely happy as they was running around there pens and playing amongst themselves something u dont always see at some farms. You could interact with them and the kids loved feeding them especially the goats and sheep. Great indoor and outdoor play area's for all ages. And had fun with the Halloween trail going around finding all the ghosts and getting a little prize at the end. Brought some pumpkins to take home to carve aswell. A great afternoon at a great family run farm. Thanks Broomey we will be back. X

User

Couldn't of wanted a better place for our daughter to have her first experience with different farm animals. Lovely friendly staff and all animals are so loved and cared for!

User

A lovely farm with friendly and helpful staff. The kids love the farm and feeding the animals. We had a lovely family day.

User

A beautiful farm that’s not over commercialised, not over priced and where you have a great experience with the animals. All the staff are so lovely and you can see how much love and hard work goes into the farm and to help make the customers have a good experience. It’s lovely to be outdoors with the animals. Lots to do for the kids and the indoor soft play is a welcomed break too. Good for picnics under cover and in the tea rooms. Great family experience would definitely recommend x

User

What a welcoming place to visit. A lovely little/medium sized farm. Nice and clean.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Inside and outside activities. My Grandson loved the ride along tractors, along with all the children's play areas.

A nice cafe, and picnic area to sit and have a chat.

A fairly priced gift shop, and a free treasure hunt with a prize for all who complete the trail.

Free car parking, and ice cream shop just outside the exit.

A most enjoyable day was had by all.

We spent over 3 hours at the venue. Good value for money.

User

Lovely few hours, boys loved the easter egg Hunt and plenty of hands on fun with animals and the play areas dotted around. May just suggest a bench or two in the field play area for the oldies to sit and enjoy watching the kids play or even a couple of picnic benches and hand wash facilities that end because it's a lovely spot. Recommend for any family

User

it was good, the heat got to us think we visited on hottest day - for the money it was good for the two little ones we brought with us, and we had a nice meal at the Granary - pleasant service too thank you ladies. However, the play equipment for the kids is very old and could do with replacing especially the little cars (crazy coop type cars) the wheel of the police car is buckled and was difficult to move around. BUT all in all we had a good couple of hours.
