Licensed cafe at the old Bentley's Nightclub in the heart of Mumbles, Swansea. By day soft play, by night, Comedy, Live Music, Pop-Up Kitchens, Cinema & Private Hire. Also available to hire with some great party packages!
Cafe Play Mumbles Description
Cafe Play by Night opened in October 2017, aims to be the cultural hub of Mumbles hosting comedy, pop-up kitchens, film nights, jazz and live acoustic music, as well as being an atmospheric evening venue at weekends.
By night, using an innovative method of partitioning the frame by Gower Sail Shades, the venue is transformed into a large, ambient space based on three tiered levels and focussed around a bespoke designed copper-top bar by the avant-garde Box Furniture Company and local images by Gower Travel Photography and local artist Terry Bevan.
Cafe Play by Day opened in July 2012, the first of its kind in the area. It has been designed with parents and children in mind- a lovely light airy space with lots of seating, and a fantastic 2 story play frame. We have created a relaxed atmosphere where parents can sit back and enjoy a nice cup of coffee while the children play in a safe and secure environment.
With locally sourced ingredients you can enjoy the freshly prepared meals, or simply enjoy a piece of cake! We are fully licensed & have an extensive menu with choices for all, a range of party packages and great events on at different times though out the year.

Cafe Play Mumbles is pleased to be hosting a fundraising evening for Jo Jones and Siara Lloyd.
In October Jo and Siara will be cycling 355km from Milan to Venice to raise money for the charity Women V Cancer. The route will take them along the southern edge of the Dolomites, Lake Iseo, Lake Garda to a finale in Venice.
Please come and support them for some Funk, Punk, Rock and Soul at this special evening at Cafe Play by Night with The Contenders.
