About Cinema & Co

Cinema & Co is a unique indie film house and gallery space based in Swansea.

Cinema & Co Description

Cinema & Co is about watching great films in good company. In our little high street space we have our very own 56 seater Cinema, a love for all things film, a unique gallery space, and a bar (selling snacks, wine and award winning beers ). We are determined not to be an average cinema or business. Cinema & Co is a social space which encourages and showcases young, local filmmakers whilst also organising various creative outreach schemes from our art gallery hub. Give us a like and we’ll let you know what’s going on, and how you can be involved. Alternatively, get in touch to let us know what you think and what films you want us to show!

Wonderful first experience. Took my boy to his favourite film, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and we had a great time. The staff were lovely and accommodating. The pallet seats were super comfy (I have back problems and can't sit for long in normal cinemas before I get distracted). The atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back.

What a great cinema ... been a couple of times now, to see Hellraiser with a mate and Elf with my whole family over Xmas .. both times have been fantastic ..lovely comfy intimate cinematic experience.... and the value for money is superb ... we ordered 2 pallets and pizzas for Elf and it was just over 40 quid , where else can you have a family night out at the cinema for that price ... I had become disillusioned with cinema going for many years due to the 'chain' cinemas but cinema and co has reignited my love of cinema ... Top drawer

User

Went to see Greatest Showman here - fabulous cinema! So much nicer than the over priced super commercialised cinemas! Lovely ambience, comfy seats, well stocked bar and pizza - what more could you ask for! Would definitely recommend :)

User

This place is quirky, comfy, cosy and full of character! The staff are friendly and the film was thrilling! Defiantly worth checking out if your in Swansea!

User

This place is fantastic. The atmosphere is electric, the setting so versatile and the staff just brilliant. I went there with my boyfriend and it was just perfect. The sofa pallets was plenty for the both of us and the ease of booking the ticket for the film (Twin Town) and Pizza was easier than ordering something on Amazon! I rave about this place to everyone and really can't wait to come back!

User

Saw the 20th anniversary of Twin Town fantastic evening. Seeing the cast and crew including Kevin Allan doing the Q&A was memorable. Would be great for a 20th anniversary re-release of Twin Town with the footage of the Q&A, the turnout of the crowd and the chior singing myfanwy at the end. I would buy it.

One of the best cinema experiences I have ever had. Very cosy atmosphere, great cakes, speciality beers and non alcoholic drinks. My daughter loves their picnic boxes. I no longer use any other cinema, excellent value for money....please come to llanelli

User

Lovely trip to see ratatouille for Father’s Day. Plus they serve cans of tiny rebel

User

Loved it, really great experienced, regular cinema goer found this environment way more chilled. Felt at home, staff were superb. Would highly recommend

User

Just visited Cinema & Co to see Nightmare Before Christmas with my daughter. It's her favourite ever movie and this was a birthday surprise for her. C&C put her name on the screen and made her feel really special! Pallet seats are actually quite comfy, pizza was delicious - we took a blanket for extra coziness! Excellent customer service, great experience will definitely be going back! Thank you Cinema & Co!! xx

Great venue, Great staff, Great vibe about the place.

The space works really well for all sorts of events as well as film screenings, I've been to and played some great gigs there

User

Great venue and excellent atmosphere and staff. I would highly recommend it.

User

Fantastic venue and setting with such lovely staff. Booked the venue for my sons 5th Birthday party to watch ‘Shaun the Sheep’ and the party was a success. Comfortable and relaxed seating and space, pizza and squash included and staff attentive at all times. Would fully recommend this venue for a birthday celebration.

User

Fantastic place for any occasion. Anna and her team are always available and will get out of their way to help. The cinema concept is great and with the addition of a bar you can stay after a movie to catch-up with friends over a beer (or 10). I would highly recommend it.

User

Cannot thank this place enough!! I hired the venue yesterday for my cousins Hen party, we had the most amazing time, the venue was perfect and I cannot thank the girls enough they were so helpful! We all had such a laugh thank you!!

User

A wonderful cinema/music venue/social hub run by a very enthusiastic and welcoming team. There is a different flavour for everyone. Just what Swansea was missing.

User

A great venue, friendly staff, a good range of films and a bar.

Seating was comfortable, a relief as I have a knackered back. I would rather go here than some anonymous chain of multiplexes.

User

This is a lovely concept and the venue is cosy and nicely lit. The idea of a film and a pizza or other foods on other nights is a great idea. The only draw back is the seating. The idea of pallets are really nice but they're just so uncomfortable. The cushions on the pallets are firstly too thin, meaning you feel the wood on your backside throughout the film. Secondly, the cushions need to be longer. If you want to sit back and relax, it's difficult because your legs won't touch the floor (unless you're like 6.4" or bigger) meaning that your calf's will be in contact with the edge of the pallet which is bare wood. Plus, there's not enough cushioning to move around the seating to maybe get into a comfier position. Real shame, as it's a great idea just don't go if you intend on being comfy.

Customer service: The ladies serving were incredibly helpful and kind. They demonstrated incredible customer service skills and were patient when I added a few things onto my order and explained the process to me as I hadn’t been there before. The prices are reasonable for snacks etc and the seem to have taken an eco approach with cardboard straws and paper bags! Which is a big thumbs up from me. They also offer free fruit, which is great!

Pallets: Although these look pretty cool to look at these are incredibly uncomfortable to sit on. Even though they’ve added lots of cushions both my daughter and I struggled to get comfortable and our friends child sat on the floor. I’ve since spoken with other friends who have been to visit you and they’ve said the same.

Other points: Albeit this was a child friendly showing, and I expected a small amount of noise, it was detracted and ruined with children running everywhere and the child directly behind us swinging from our pallet, screaming and crying all the way through. This was mentioned to a member of staff mid way through the film.
