Bath's Circo cocktail bar and lounge is a chic blend of the old and new with classic panelled walls, luxurious Chesterfield sofas and a cool palette of chic grey tones accented by dusky copper highlights. With lighting by Felix Lighting Specialists of Bath, Julian Chichester mirrors and a soundtrack inspired as much by the Balearic ideal as it is contemporary classics, it's a venue that exudes a cool, calm and collected vibe.
Circo has one of the most extensive back bars in Bath, there is a stunning array of cocktails on offer, as well as a comprehensive champagne, wine and spirits list, served by our attentive and knowledgeable team. We also feature a delicious fresh food menu created and produced in our kitchen by the White Heat Street Food team who can also come to you for private functions and events.
With Wi-Fi throughout the venue and sumptuous surrounds, it’s the perfect venue for the after work mid-week drink, or join us at the weekend and shake a leg to our selection of in-house DJ’s playing a mix of funk and soul, through to disco, house and electro(fried) beats. Licensed to 3AM at the weekends it’s the luxury venue that Bath has been waiting for. Winner of the Bath Life Award for the best Bar in Bath, (check out the Award ceremony here. . . GDJ is the biggest DJ on the scene in Bath. He embraces digital technology ensuring seamless mixing all night and a truly unique performance. "Beat Supremo Asian Hawk" (britishhiphop.co.uk) is one of the most original turntablists operating in the world today. Possessing not only the technical skills to hold numerous DMC titles but also the musicality to captivate and rock every audience he plays for.
... His talents also extend to the studio where he is highly regarded as a beatsmith and vocalist, producing tracks for artists such as Foreign Banggars and The Disablists. Vocal projects have included features on the Bristol-based acid jazz funk group "JACKSON"s "Reality" EP, which has led to him becoming a seminal member of this eclectic super group.
Asian Hawk first attacked the turntables in 1998 mixing Drum'n'Bass before developing a lifelong love affair with HipHop and Turntablism. By 2000 he was a resident at the legendary Moles nightclub rocking weekly shows in a homegrown group of friends called "Non Compos Mentis" (NCM) consisting of Rapper Gusto Fresh, and Beat Boxer and Vocalist Mo Kolours.
In 2004 Hawk formed the turntablist crew "The Disablists" who later that year scored their first DMC title, they quickly went on to claim the title for a record-breaking 4 times for the years 2005,2006 and 2007 placing a close 2nd and 3rd in the World competitions
During that time Hawk found Himself achieving the UK number one title in 2006, countless runner-up places and most recently claiming the Vice World title in the DMC online battle for 2012.
Since then Hawk has been involved in numerous projects, including running community scratch courses, to producing tracks for Boris Johnson's Transport for London campaign and working with artists such as Reginal Omas the Third.
Hawk hosts a radio show on www.Soultrainradio.co.uk every Monday evening, as well as having radio and TV appearances on, 1xtra the Semtex show, Ras Kwame's 100% homegrown, Kiss FM with Big Ted and Shortee Blitz, BBC's Blue Peter, Channel 4's Paul O'Grady show and CCTV in China.
Hawk has performed at numerous venues and festivals across the globe, these include the flagship store of Maharishi's diffusion line MHI, DPMHI - London (www.dpmhi.com), The Hammersmith Apollo, KOKO Camden, Shepard's Bush Empire, HipHop Kemp (Prague), Mix Club (Beijing), Q Bar (Bangkok), Pontoon (Cambodia), Boomtown & Bestival. 5 x DMC UK DJ Champion
