Coated Engineering Doctorate

The Engineering Doctorate is a four year, PhD level qualification. The COATED EngD and STRIP MRes is linked to industry who provide the research project as well as financial and supervision support. All our projects focus on supporting the SPECIFIC IKC, a £20m project which aims to develop coatings that generate, store and release energy - effectively turning buildings into powerstations. The EngD comes with a £17k per year tax free bursary and no fees. It is a great way to train and gain industrial experience at the same time. Ex graduates of the scheme have gone on to become technical directors of multinationals, academics, business leaders, research group leaders and managers.
