Simply Amazing coffee shop in the one and only Castlerock. Crusoes has got it all, friendly staff, great food and the most relaxing atmosphere. The smell of home cooked food and fresh coffee as you climb the stairs brings you into a world of your own. Keep up the good work!

On Saturday evening my bridesmaids had a surprise mini hen for me, We had roger doing outside catering for a small group of girls. The canapés were unbelievable, completely amazing. He was also so very professional. Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I travelled from Belfast last weekend to Crusoes' Father's Day Dinner with music on the Sunday evening. The food and service were first class with a great atmosphere in the full restaurant. Having been to Crusoes events before, we knew that the diners also appreciate great music and "The Burying Ground", from Vancouver played 2 superb sets to a respectful, appreciative audience after the meal. This is a unique experience for lovers of good food and real music - congratulations, yet again to Roger and his Crusoes team !

It's been ages since I've been in Crusoes but was well impressed when I took my my grown up children and grandchild there last Saturday. Place was buzzing. The biggest decision was knowing which panini to take, they all sounded so tempting so in the end we all chose something different so we could sample each other's. Mine was the chilli chicken and didn't want to give any of it up. If there was a negative it was that we were all so full that we weren't able to try any of the delicious looking traybakes. Will just have to make another trip back. Staff very friendly and we got a lovely table with high chair for Reuben. Would definitely recommend.

I have just returned home after a trip to our favorite coffee shop...Crusoe's. Very enjoyable toasted croissant with cream cheese and bacon, really yummy, but followed this with a tastebud explosion, WHAOW!!!, Crusoe's gently warned mince pies with fresh cream. If you do nothing else this Christmas just treat yourself, your taste buds, your family and Uncle Tom Cobbly to the best, best, best, best, BEST mince pies ever!!! . Saying that I will probably not get any turkey now on Christmas Day, because I have always told my wife, that she made the best, but some things are worth making a stand for!! Make a difference to your world, "Enjoy a Crusoe's mince pie this Christmas and every Christmas!!!

User

Had the chilli beef panini, tasted amazing! Fresh toasted (what tasted like) homemade bread. Good selection of food and drinks, friendly staff. shame we are only visiting. Would love to come back again soon.

User

Had a beautiful meal in Crusoes this week at one of their music nights. Couldn’t fault any of the food - it was all really good. With great entertainment laid on & BYOB, it is a great way to spend an evening :)

User

Fantastic Saturday night at crusoes, food was amazing and listening to Errol Walsh and friends was quite simply brilliant, although having been to crusoes many times before Rodger and staff always deliver the 5 star experience. The best intimate music venue I have ever been to, can't wait to go again.

User

Delicious chicken, cranberry+brie bagel at lunchtime today. Nice and relaxing atmosphere.

User

User

Called here for breakfast yestetday with my brother and neice and ordered 2 full breakfasts for us and pancakes with maple syrup for my neice.

Everything was cooked to prefection, the soda potato and pancakes were freshly home made and absolutely deicious! Great coffee too!

Would say this was hands down the best fry I have ever had eating out.

Great service and reasonably priced too.

A hidden gem, we would never have found here without googling somewhere to go for breakfast!

Will definitely call if ever up this way again! Fantastic x

User

Best Coffee Shop to go to, it’s my favourite. Food is lovely & the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend

User

Been a regular for many years but moved away 2 years ago. Love Crusoes so much was on my list of places to revisit on this short trip back to Ireland. Wasn't disappointed, still as good as ever.

User

I visited on Monday, ordered the Italian panini, hated the seeded bread, salad was dire. My daughter who is vegetarian had a baked potato with beans, very small potato for the price, never again.

User

I dont normally complain have been in many times. But today was bad. Kitchen needs to put a better routine for cooking and getting orders going out. My husband had nearly finished his lunch before I got mine.and my tea was cold by then.. Think the lady beside us got mine (she had ordered the same as me) cause she was nearly finished hers when her husband and son got theirs. Another table beside us had the same problem food was coming out so slow the first person at the table was served before me and was finishing when the other 3 meals came out slowly.. And it wasn't even busy.. staff seemed to look busy doing nothing or not knowing what they were meant to be doing apart from the wee server guy who was run of his feet doing everything...don't think we will be back..

User

Came in yesterday to recreate a moment my partner an I had near two years ago. (First date) thought it was extremely over priced to start with. Then waited 20 mins for two bacon sandwiches and a coffee each. Nearly everyone who came in after us was given there coffee/ food before us. Even a ( it will be with u soon) would have been nice. Got annoyed an asked an soon had our food. But hay. Thanks for making my recreated moment crap. Won't be back again. Even in another two years.

User

We have been going to Crusoes for years but I'm sorry to say that I won't be back. Its used to be great for tea/coffee and scones, with great cookies for the kids. Then a couple of years ago it began to go downhill. Overcrowded with tables (I'm on crutches so a nightmare to navigate), the menu got complicated and the food only fair. It has a general air of grubbiness, with the tables sitting for far too long without being cleared and the stairlift very dirty, don't look up when you are going down the stairs as the pictures are draped with cobwebs. The worst aspect by far is the service. I don't know if they simply use students for summer staff but they need more staff and better training. Waiting times at the counter are long, items missing from orders and only half the order appearing at the table. You then have to either wait 10-15 minutes for the rest to arrive or half of the table will be finished eating while you are still waiting for your coffee. This has happened mutiple times. We usually holiday in Castlerock and keep giving this coffee shop another chance, but paying £20 for coffee and scones that were only Ok and a iced latte that was so strong I couldn't drink it was the final straw.

User

Im not loving the new seating arrangement. I can understand you wanting to cram as many people in as possible but the seating at the back is taking shabby chic to a whole new level, its poorly designed and downright uncomfortable and to make matters worse when I was there yesterday there are several health and safety issues that need addressed

Tottering on the brink of becoming a greasy spoon.

I wont be back as it is not a comfortable location any longer to sit, have coffee and relax.
