There is an emerging theme in the big island mini break. Bursts of activity in between the rain (common theme) and wind (very common theme). Having just discovered the #giantscausewaysportive I am thoroughly enjoying following the courses without having to look at maps. #torrhead. I have never seen Games of Thrones but this week, by default, I have learned enough to know that I really should watch it. Now that the climbing shoes have been replaced with road biking shoes and trail runners, I visited the famous Dark Hedges. Would have been quite cool without the tourists, of which me and my bike just added to. #gameofthrones @scarpa_uk @deuter

We climbed Buachaille Etive Mor together, and it was great fun. Di has tons of experience and is wonderful company. She has a great enthusiasm for the mountains and wild places, in Scotland and world-wide. A fine sense of humour too!
