Wanted two photographers to take part in a SPECIAL 'battle of the telephoto' SHOOTOUT! The brief is telephoto landscapes and the winner will receive their very own Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C lens!
To take part you must:
- Have a Nikon, Canon or Sigma camera that can mount the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C. We will provide the lens for the shoot. ... - Be available on Monday 20th August 2018 and able to meet at Start point carpark in Devon. Postcode: TQ7 2ET. We’ll be shooting the lighthouse, coastal path and beaches along this fantastic coastline so walking shoes are recommended. - Starting and finishing TBC but most likely will be a afternoon into sunset.
If you’d like to be considered to take part email digitalcamera@futurenet.com with ‘Sigma Shootout’ in the subject line. Include your contact details plus a couple of low res examples of your work and if you've been selected we'll let you know by Friday 10th August. Good luck!

There's a new teaser video from Nikon today, which gives us a better idea of what its forthcoming full-frame mirrorless camera will look like.

Just for once I'd like to see this magazine cover different editing programmes like GIMP, Affinity, Pixelmator, and many others out there. Not every photographer uses Lightroom and Photoshop. All the tutorial stuff on CD Rom's seem to be for people who are specifically using LR & PS! Some people are living life on a budget or have bought different editing software and advice on those programs would be really appreciated.
Great magazine. Appalling subscriber service (the magazine arrives later and later each month. The November issue has not arrived yet (15 November)).
Could be better, subscriber issues always arrive damaged due to flimsy polythene bag that offers no protection at all to the magazine or inserts. Also as a micro 4/3rds camera user ( Olympus ) most of the articles seem to ignore theses types of camera, in favour of the Canikon brands , so more practical articles using other & mirrorless cameras please.
Don't forget the people who also favour 'enthusiast' compact camera too.
I'd like to see more how-to's on photo editing with other software programmes other than Adobe, like Affinity, Luminar, DxO, ON1 etc. as many people use them because of Adobe's monthly subscription costs.
This camera is really good it has nice focus and its image is good
Can anyone tell me that I am not the only one who cannot use the ON1 free download. Apparently, if you do not have OpenGL 3.3 or later on your computer this software just will not work. I am using the latest version of Windows 10 (just been updated) and it still doesn't want to load. Absolutely useless Free gift!!
You removed the links to very helpful articles. I had probably dozens of tabs on my mobile browser permanently open with your helpful guides, shortcuts, tips, etc. Now they all link to mostly unrelated articles that are crappy reviews to hawk new products.
What have you done with the old links, they are lost in some random techradar articles, and all the links I had saved as reference are lost, please fix it everything is a mess in the new site
Used to have an amazing, useful, interesting and genuinely helpful website. The absolute lack of any of these features on the new site is a huge disappointment. Where are all the cheat sheets, the helpful reviews, suggestions, where's the GOOD content?! If it's there, it's difficult to find and hidden behind a ridiculous amount of advertising. Saddening.
The "SHOP NOW" banner at the top says it all really. Money, Money, Money. Awful merger. Dozens of links to useful stuff all lost. Have bought the mag from time to time but not anymore.
TechRadar SUX. It contains SPAM. Bring back your old format and reactivate the links to all your useful tips and tricks. I will give your business a chance of listen to your customers. If you continue to spam us with unrelated useless rubbish from TechRadar I will unsubscribe.
I would also like to be among the many who have a total disgust and hatred for this merger. If I remember correctly it was posted that this would be a bigger, better and more efficient way of giving the followers what they desired. Perhaps not in those exact words. However this merger has done nothing but cause pages to be lost, links to be broken and, users to be redirected to a bunch of rubbish, none of which has anything to do with the topic of Digital Photography. This merger needs to end and the old way reinstated. I really do not understand the logic being used? What is the purpose of keeping the Facebook page up and running without the digital camera world web site, especially when things are regularly posted on the FB page? Still disgusted with this tech radar merge. I'm curious as to how many followers you actually lost. I once enjoyed and looked forward to the posts, tips, cheat sheets, etc.......not any more! I now look elsewhere for this information. Now I just scroll through these posts.
Digitalcameraworld.xom used to be a regular visiting spot right from my bed time coffee. I even used to refer this blog to my clients. Now this merge with tech radar is made the story hell!
