Well what can I saw absolutely amazing I've been to a few sites and this one tops it. We arrived really early checked in and got text few hours later to say our caravan was ready !!

We arrived to waterfront 17 and wow wow wow wow just blew me away currently sat in the caravan now and thinking I don't want to go !

We did many activities and the ranger Kevin was brilliant with the children. He made them all feel welcomed and went above and beyond. Austin who was on the climbing wall got us in half hour earlier as we had a busy day and he was fantastic!

We had food at the restaurant and I've seen people's comments and to be honest I couldn't fault it at all ! The classic burger was delicious ! They also had a shop there and it was reasonably priced !!

The night entertainment wow brilliant they had all the kids up dancing along and my two enjoyed every second. Mine also did the sleep over party as well which they went to practice for it for a hour or so each day. And performed it Infront of everyone tonight ! And the girls taught them the dance moves and they was Excellent!! Only one niggle I had I think if we as parents came to do this I think it's only fair the parents should get reserved seats at the front to watch our children perform it. I had the joys of bending my head round other people's and it did get my wound up. They also did a adults show right at the end which went down a treat and was great fun and Amy who mainly hosted it was fantastic!!!

Would I come back ? Yes not in any other caravan in this one and the site is small which we wanted and everything was brilliant

Thanks haven at doniford bay see you soon

We were here weekend just gone Fri to Monday.

Clean nice caravan although toilet space is a little small in the prestige you feel like your eating the damn radiator in front of you, good job I'm slim tbh with you but overall I'm happyand the children were very happy. Clean all throughout kids beds so comfy adult beds mmmm could do with upgrading though

This is the weekend before half term and I was so happy with how much free stuff was going on aswell as the paid items (the buggy carts are amazing nearly died going around the bends with children driving )

Swimming pool also great, shame outside was shit this weekend though. Arcades brilliant!, such a good choice of machines there always staff watching for any issues :)

Entertainment by Charlotte and stevie!! Awesome guys you guys just kept on going even when there wasn't many children, my kids enjoyed you all so much they kept you on your feet that's for sure, so thankyou!

All in all could improve in some small areas but this is a lovely park and amazing views and good staff (except the blonde lass behind the bar with such a grumpy face, instead of been polite I got... '' what do you want'' okay ill have a Stella and pour it on your head for been such a grump thanks geez smile hun your on holiday, working but on holiday, relax

Thanks fun stars and Haven you were great xxx

Our caravan was amazing best caravan we've stayed in it was very clean when we arrived. We stayed for 3 days and each day we found something to do the food was great plenty of choice. We enjoyed the evening entertainment our 2 daughters 5 and 1 really enjoyed the seaside squad shows and the fun stars were fab lots of energy and great with the kids. Bonus that the weather was by far the best it's been this year and therefore the outdoor pool and slides were opened up which we enjoyed. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Overall it was our first time at doniford bay and we would like to go back again. Thanks for a lovely holiday x

Not often I review things, much less give 5 stars. Beautifully clean, great amenities and the staff are out of this world. Dan, Callum and Gareth made my nephew’s birthday by playing and chatting with him. Everything reasonably priced, we didn’t stop smiling the whole time we were there. Entertainment cheesy, but great (which, nostalgically I totally wanted!) Well done Haven, your staff make this place a Haven on earth (see what I did there?)

I've book for deluxe caravan but its look like we had standard. There was no exhaust in the cooker and we don't have heater inside its only fire place. We were too cold in the night specially our children. There was no taga in the floor and no vacuums for the carpet . To the staff they are Are all friendly . No instruction about the gate if we have a code orto enter because every time my husband wants to enter there was no staff to open the gate. Archery was good my children enjoyed it even the little one . Instructor very good . Wall climbing they did enjoy it. Pool ok not too deep and it allowed to capture memories for my family and kids. I will not stay here anymore because it is too far from our place and we will not book deluxe caravan anymore specially when it's cold wethear .We choose this site because of the slide and pool outside but it is different from the picture we've seen online. Dunster 31 caravan are clean ..

User

I really enjoyed my stay, lovely welcome at the gate on arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful, although my caravan was a bit dated and it was cold at night because it didnt have radiators only gas heater in lounge & blowers in the kids rooms but next time i would bring warmer pyjamas. It had everything we needed like tv,microwave, kettle, cutlery etc..the only things I'd say would be nice would be a hardstanding area to park the car on,net at Windows for privacy and the kettle could do with a descale as lots of limescale which meant I had to keep rinsing kettle out as I had to make up my babys milk with the boiled water.

Having said this nothing major and I will most definatly be coming back again

Accommodation was good staff were friendly funny and helpfull loads to do food was cooked well no complaints at all

Weve stayed here a few times since having our kids due to the entertainment and dog friendliness of the site. We've always enjoyed the food in the bar and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The only thing I would say is the indoor soft play hasn't changed in the 3 years weve been. Everything that was broke is still broke and more added each time. Its also pretty grubby. The boys came back with hacking coughs last year and this year after spending a couple hours in there. Could be coincidence of corse and the rest of the play areas/entertainment are perfect,as were the vans weve been given. Updated, deep cleaned soft play would make this park 100% perfect in our opinion

Went here with the little one,2, and the misses for a week break. The caravan was what you expect from one, nothing outstanding but good enough to sleep and clean also the central heating was amazing. Turn it on and off from the bed side. The park was very quiet being the time if year it is. The pool was good, nothing spectacular! My son loved the slide though. The food was outstanding price and quality wise and the service was top notch.

Arcade was a little outdated and quite expensive in all fairness. The best thing about the park was the entertainment. They did everything they could to make the kids involved. I think they are definitely over worked!! There was a girl there, thunk her name was Amy? Who did the morning show every morning and also was there until close.

All in all we had a great week.. just a shame about the facilities not being open or suited to any child under 6.

Defiantly recommend!!

User

Loads to do. very clean. Staff very friendly......only reason I won't give it 5 stars is that a lot of caravans don't have paths to them and walking across the grass to them was a mission when it had been raining..... we all ended up covered in mud constantly and had a few slips over in the mud too..

User

Great staff, very helpful and attentive. Lovely clean warm caravan. Shame it snowed this weekend so we came back a day early. Would recommend.

User

A lovely clean and well kept holiday park. Staff are brilliant and looked after us very well. The only down side was entertainment. It seems more for the children than adults. Overall, for families with children it’s great.

User

Well we are still here at the moment. We go home tomorrow. The caravan lovely and clean, the duvet could do with being bigger. We haven't been down to the restaurant / club house. We just wanted a relaxing few days. We had a very annoying child in a caravan near by running up and down the caravan at 5am!!

User

Welcome was great. Teddy Bear man Rob on gate entrance brilliant and funny. Caravan was adequate. Didn't use pool, but each time entered club house area was struck by the overpowering smell of Chlorine, which carried through to bar area. Park had experienced some awful weather previous to our visit which meant we were asked straight away not to park cars on any grasses area adjacent to the caravan. This meant that the roads were full of vehicles and in some left a narrow gap to drive through. With this also in mind, more pathways would be good especially leading to Caravans, so as not to have to walk through mud to get to. Caravan was adequate, however lacked some finishing touches, such as net curtains - have to close main curtains if wanted privacy. Otherwise was a good base for the area we wanted to explore.

This was our 6th or 7th stay at Doniford Bay and the first time we haven't been totally satisfied. Caravan wasn't as clean as expected (half eaten Apple left in the bin, hair and talc on bathroom floor). The double bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in and you could feel all of the springs digging in you all night (my 8yr old suggested you could use them to scratch your back as you slept!). There was no side rail at all on the top bunk bed and the mattress was actually higher than the side of the bunk bed! Had food in the restaurant twice, once everything arrived cold and the second time the mains were not as described in the menu (i.e. Burger meant to have melted cheese, salad, salsa etc but came completely plain). Took over 10 mins to get someone's attention and then all they did was bring me a pot of salsa.

This morning my 6yr old daughter dropped her slush puppy on the floor as she was walking back to the table from buying it - it went everywhere, she went to apologise to one of the staff and they came to clean it up, I was rather disappointed that we then had to pay for a replacement drink. I know it was her own fault but I would have thought a family-orientated venue would have been more, well, family orientated and understanding that 6yr olds do drop things. It wasn't about the money but the principle.

Would return based on previous experiences but a bit let down this time, all in all.

User

Had trouble as soon as we got there. Caravan was dirty moved us to another which was already occupied. Then finally settled into another van by 8pm, my two year old was cold & knackered. Had to move the next day back to original van which had now been cleaned, basically our 4 day holiday was down to two days as first was messing around with vans then the second day was good then third day I was hit with a bug & also my hubby got it then we were due to go home on the Thursday so all in all was a little disappointed, went to the chippy on site for tea one eve & the chips/sausages were absolutely vile took them back & said they’d been using cold oil I mean come on. Anyway entertainment in the eve was good for the kids & we also liked the pool apart from that really not much else going on at all. We shall not be returning however if other people enjoy it then I hope you never have a bad experience.

User

Disappointing compared to other Haven sites we have been to. We have seen what Haven are capable of and this place falls short.

Food provision limited (appreciate it is a self catering holiday but have seen better at other Haven sites).

Service in all areas slow and not exactly “with a smile” (exception - see below). Was a bit like staff had not quite finished preparing for the season to start.

Caravan not as clean as should be (bits of food on floor under dining table for example).

Feel like it’s missed out on the revamp other Haven sites have had.

The issues we reported regarding the kitchen blind and the shower were dealt with same day, no questions asked, so cannot fault maintenance.

Security staff were very friendly and helpful.

User

2nd time there was not as impressed this time it seemed it was very understaffed in the club house /arcade lots of waiting around to get served and the onsite chip shop wasn’t very good waited 45 minutes for food and it was awful ended up binning it I will return there though in a few months as like haven holidays and the area off to little sea in August hopefully be a bit better
