Runrig tonight...
Any Canadian Runrig fans out there?
Good luck to Kinlochshiel Shinty Club in today’s Macaulay Cup Final!
Just for a change, I'm going to end the week on a musical note. As I head to Stirling to see the last ever concert of the legendary Runrig, I'm going to leave you with one of my favourite moments from one of my most favourite ever concerts. Have a great weekend folks.......

We're off to a great start with the "Autumn in Scotland" competition we announced yesterday to win a FREE 3-Day Autumn Break for four people at our beautiful Eilean Donan Apartments. There's a week left to enter, but here's just some of the entries so far.
Do you fancy winning an Autumn getaway at our beautiful Eilean Donan Apartments? Have a read of this, and post up your photo here!
So should you need any more excuses to come visit the NW highlands, here's a wee video from nearby Glenelg captured a few days ago by my friends Jan, Trisha and their dog Loli. Watch it all the way through! 😊
This is the incredible Ross Edgley who has just broken the World Record for the longest staged sea swim! Swimming 12 hours a day for the last 74 days around the coast of the entire country; he now has 900 miles left to go! What a feat!!!
Enjoy.......

Beautiful morning for a walk with the dog. Love the silence of the morn before the day starts.....
The castle's backdrop.........
That's us on the left of shot.

Beautiful evening at the castle. Check it out on our live webcam!
Summer sunsets at Eilean Donan are some of the best of the entire year, like this one from Jean Cluade Castor. Open in big screen if you can!
When I reached it was closed but would suggest that Toilets should be kept out side open for public some people have health problem are in serious problem & who don’t know Timings of Closing & comes from long distance are also in inconvenience
What a stunning place.... scenery.... castle from start to finish was a delight. So much information to see and the guides were fantastic.... Matthew got to be hands on with many exhibits lucky boy. Well worth a visit... would definitely go back.
This castle is a must see on any trip through the highlands. You won’t be disappointed.
The view is beautiful. Hope I have more time to visit it.
The most beautiful castle and location in Scotland I have visited. And I know, I’ve been here 4 times! ❤️❤️
Thanks to Jenny and all the staff for making our wedding day so special on Saturday night .
My favourite castle in the world ❤️
Lovely place. A lot of history. A RAF Tornado flew past and dipped his wings to us. Have a look at the you tube videos and explore the film's it has starred in.
It was a beautiful day, had a great time. Enjoy every minute I was there. I was able to take great pictures.
I visited 5 years ago and loved it. It is so iconic. I love the pictures you share and the videos and lives streams. I should be back next year.
I loved going to see this beautiful place, best time of my life was spending a year in Scotland
I love this place. It's so rich in history & it's great that you get to see so much of it. There's so much to see, read & hear that you could easily spend hours wandering around. The staff are all great too.
Fabulous
Well worth a visit
Friendly and fantastic views
Beautiful place. So peaceful and full of history. We visit every time we go to Skye
Beautiful castle, loved every minute of the visit, stunning scenery, a must for anyone interested in history and the love of Scotland
Beautiful castle with a very cool history. It's been beautifully restored and there is lots of information throughout the castle on what has happened to it through out the ages. Definitely worth it.
An absolutely perfect piece of gold that transforms an already beautiful landscape into something beyond special....
Amazing place with such historic and majestic beauty. The very walls seem to speak to you and touch your soul. So glad we visited. We had to check it out as our son in law back in the states had ancestors that were Mackenzie clan.
We took lots of photos of the outside as well as the Mackenzie crest to show him when we get home. Hope to take him snd our Daughter some day.
Absolutely fantastic!! We've always said we'd visit one day & today was that day.
Have to say the ladies in the castle were brilliant with my little boy & interacted with him brilliantly (me & my wife also), they gave him a little helping hand with some clues to the things he had to find around the castle.
I loved the banquet room which was stunning!
Well worth a visit, picturesque from the outside and fairly interesting on the inside. There was a introduction/ video tour right at the beginning but it was so busy and overcrowded in the pokey little room we skipped it. The inside rooms are decorated showcasing how they probably looked in the past and there are artifacts displayed that were found around the castle during the various renovations. Price wise it was reasonable. The shop and facilities were alright. The cafe; we weren't too keen on for a number of reasons. We wouldn't eat there again but the coffee was acceptable.
