Small and friendly team providing specialist support to people with mental health needs and learning disabilities living in South Somerset.
Enable Support Services Description
We are a small team providing specialised support and care to people with a range of complex needs including mental health difficulties, Asperger’s Syndrome, and Acquired Brain Injury. We also work with a number of older people needing care to remain living independently at home.
Our service has grown steadily over the past 7 years and we have developed a reputation for providing high quality, personalised care and support. Our work involves supporting people with day to day activities which someone with these types of needs might find difficult - budgeting, cooking, shopping, attending appointments etc. Some of our clients also have personal care needs. Being a good listener, being non-judgmental and understanding the importance of enabling independence are essential qualities we look for and nurture in our staff.
As a Mindful Employer and being mental health professionals ourselves, we also understand the importance of supporting the mental wellbeing of our staff - we work hard to support our staff and meet their individual needs. We value the positive relationships we build with our staff and we know that being treated as an individual, with fairness and respect for work-life balance are what our team appreciate most about working with Enable.
People call us every day asking us to provide support to them so we are always looking for committed, caring and flexible staff to join us, working across South Somerset.
Within our team, we have high levels of knowledge and experience in working with people with various social care needs - including mental health difficulties, learning disability and Asperger's Syndrome.

New crisis cafe for people with mental health needs - not far from us !
This is really useful information - If you have an Alexa - it will provide full CPR guidance in case of an emergency. But make sure to phone 999 immediately and before you start chest compressions. Keep the compressions going until help arrives !
Hopefully none of us will ever need this, but it’s good to know!
