A beautiful on day on Exmoor at The Exmoor White Horse Inn with a welcome breeze in the air and high wispy Cirrus clouds. Exmoor and Barle valley wildlife safaris dropping off after a afternoon trip. #Exmoorsky #Exmoor

Midnight at The Exmoor White Horse Inn! Stunning core of the Milky-Way passing over the Exmoor White Horse Inn, just after midnight last evening. Aren’t we lucky to live in a dark sky Reserve like Exmoor and be able to witness such a spectacular view on clear nights throughout the summer months, WOW 😲

We saw this pub on our way through to Dunster, and decided to stop for some lunch on our return. We loved the atmosphere, the staff were friendly, and the food was amazing. Will definitely go there again. The only downside is the car park could be larger

User

We popped in randomly driving through and stoped for a drink, got chatting to the chap behind the bar who recommended we drive a short distance and we should see some wild deer. We were very lucky to see lots of deer and had an amazing time, and then stoped back in for some food.

The food was amazing quality by far the best carvery we have had to date, the atmosphere and decor was fab.

Thanks for the amazing food and recommendation ref: the deer, we will be back

We have been staying here for short holidays on Exmoor since the early 80s. It is excellent. Super staff providing great service, delicious food and a truly brilliant breakfast, lovely warm comfortable rooms. It is a joy to stay there.

Stopped to have drink and lunch, on the spur of the moment we decided to stay overnight. We had our dog with us. My husband asked about a room and were dogs welcome. Dogs are welcome they even provided a bed for our dog and asked what size bed we'd like for him. In the dog bed was a blanket and towel. Our room was lovely, lovely decor, and a very comfy bed. We had evening dinner, the food was delicious, breakfast in the morning was very good too. All the staff were very friendly welcoming and attentive. We would definitely go back again.

User

Stopped here by chance, absolutely lovely pub with lovely grounds. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back when we're next down this way! Highly recommend

Snowed in while on a short break!

Hotel was warm and clean and staff superb.

The food was good, fresh and tasty.

The rooms are very comfortable, spotlessly clean and warm and cosy.

It is a lovely country pub and hotel where the family work hard to provide an excellent service.

Made to feel like family Pete is amazing and attentive plus the staff our great and cant do enough for you it has to be the most beautiful Inns on the moor and our dog Alf was made to feel most welcome. The only criticism was the bed in our room 7 was like sleeping on a snooker table not that i have but we was both so sore as in arms and back two nights was enough without being a couple of cripples but cheers for the stay xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A historic, sporty Inn, with friendly staff, excellent beer and food

In the amazing setting of Exmoor, frequented by the equine fraternity, particularly hunting and shooting folk

Traditional bar area with wood burning stove and pleasant restaurant with plenty of local produce

Worth a visit and stay with pleasant comfy rooms

We arrived on Tuesday evening 10th April for my birthday and planned on having a meal and relaxing drink with my wife. However the group of surly and loud males in the bar who appeared to be shouting abuse at others in the bar area quickly changed our minds and we headed back to our accommodation and ate locally. Such a shame that this behaviour is allowed in a public place. Obviously there is a lack of control of the premises. We won't be going back.
