Chocolate choux buns Makes 18
... These can be made has light in calories by choosing your filling wisely! You will need the following for choux dough 150g plain flour 2 x pinches of salt 120g low-fat polyunsaturated margarine 4 x eggs large beaten 300ml cold water Nutella Makes 18 medium size bun's (like in my picture but you can make them bigger or small) Preheat oven to gas mark 6/200c/fan oven 180c 1. Sift the flour & salt into a bowl. 2. Place Marg in a non-stick saucepan with 300ml cold water & bring to boil(make sure the water reaches boiling point) remove from the heat once it has come to the boil. Tip flour into the saucepan, stirring with a wooden spoon until the mix comes together in a small ball. sit the saucepan in a basin of cold water ( I use a mixing bowl for this) until dough is cool. 3) Gradually beat in the eggs, until you have a smooth batter that drops easily from the spoon. Line a baking tray with Parchment paper/baking paper, Scatter droplets of water over the baking sheet. Then place heaped spoonful's of the batter onto your lined baking sheet( I use a piping bag instead of spoon's makes it easier ). Make sure you leave enough from between them for the dough to rise, even if you have to bake them in 2 batches. 4. Bake them in the oven for 18 -20mins until the dough well risen & quite brown. Once you have taken the cooked buns out of the oven, make a small hole in the top of each bun to release the steam then return them to the oven for a further 5mins to crisp up. Cool on a wire rack. 5. Once they have cooled down make a slit in each bun, use a teaspoon & scoop some cream onto the spoon. Squeeze the bun turn tsp of cream upside down so that has you pull the spoon out it doesn't make a mess of the bun. do this twice or if you feel that you could use a bigger spoon please fill free to do so. Filling choices 1) Elmlea double (If you can get it in a light version even better) Whip it up & you are ready to fill them. Suitable for freezing 2) 500g Quark, 2 tsp Vanilla extract, 4 tbsp. granulated sweetener Mix all together & you are ready to fill them. Not suitable for freezing 3) 300g Ricotta cheese, 4 x tsp grated orange zest, 2 tbsp. icing sugar mixes all together & you are ready to fill them. Not suitable for freezing 4) Any very thick flavoured yoghurt fat-free of cause! Suitable for freezing Chocolate topping Nutella - put some in a bowl place in microwave for about 40 - 60 sec, use a spoon to spread/ drizzle over the tops of the buns.

Hi Guy's can you help! We have been approached by one of our parent's who works for the NHS in one of their hospitals. They contacted us to see if we had any pool shoe's we could give them, we managed to give them 2,000 which will keep them going for a bit but would be good if we could get more. I thought I would ask if there was anyone else who would be happy to donate them like us not using them at the moment and could be put to good use? if you do have any please message us to let us know. πŸ€”
