I DID IT Ō£ģ!!!! It might not seem like much to some of you but I gave my first ŌĆśproperŌĆÖ talk today on being an entrepreneur and always being yourself. There wasnŌĆÖt a huge turnout and I definitely fumbled my words a few times but they did clap - and so thatŌĆÖs gotta count ­¤żŻ But IŌĆÖm mainly just so pleased (relieved) because I want to do more talks and whilst this one definitely wasnŌĆÖt perfect itŌĆÖs a start - woo ­¤Äē Ps. If you know a school, college or uni where they might be open to me speaking then please let me know! My goal is to do a TEDx talk and IŌĆÖve got some serious practice to do before I get there ­¤śé PPS. In the past week IŌĆÖve done over 800 miles and this has to be one of my fave photos ­¤śŖ. Nothing beats the feeling on the sand beneath your feet and brightly coloured beach hut ­¤Å¢ IŌĆÖve met lots of clients (we have 6 new jobs available - 3 of which IŌĆÖve only just written up ­¤śé­¤ż”ŌĆŹŌÖĆ’ĖÅ) - 1 in Hackney (London), 1 in Ramsgate (Kent), 1 in Ewell (Surrey), 1 in Bath, 1 in Princes Risborough (Buckinghamshire) and 1 in Meopham (Kent) and thatŌĆÖs not mentioning all the other amazing roles we h...ave! IŌĆÖve also done two Ō£ģ Our Vision & Safeguarding training sessions with 9 of our new Kayas in the past 24 hours and they were brilliant (if not slightly exhausting ­¤ś┤!) I love hanging out with the Kaya Nannies, hearing their stories, sharing their challenges and ultimately helping them to realise that theyŌĆÖre part of a team and are changing a families life! The children go to school about 20 miles away along country lanes and there is a family car for you to drive (Landrover Discovery) but it is absolutely key that anyone who joins them is a really good, safe, responsible driver.
As it is an afternoon role there are things to do around the house (tidying the childrenŌĆÖs rooms, walking the dog, maybe feeding the pony (!)) before picking up the children and bringing them home for homework and supper.
Mum is really keen to find someone who is going to fit in with them and muck in with their lives so a can-do attitude is essential.

It's critical because they're both quite young for their years and so come back from school and nursery absolutely exhausted. It tends to go; home and chill, supper, bath and then bed for a story. It's at this point you'll be handing over to Mum unless she's having to stay down in London.
The kids absolutely love doing arts and crafts, reading books, playing imaginary games etc. although during the school week then tend to be so sleepy they just want to chill when they get back. Both kids are super cuddly and love a good snuggle on the sofa. As/when they get a bit frustrated a cuddle tends to solve the problem.
Both parents are super creative and arty so a love of music, arts, films etc would be great. You need to be full of energy, capable and be able to stick to the routine. Reliability and commitment is absolutely key for the family and they're looking for someone to become a part of the family!

The family have 2 munchkins (3.5yo girl & 18mo boy) and a new baby due in June! Dad works full time in London and Mum is looking for a team player to join her for 25-30hrs p/w. The role is a combination of sole charge and shared charge.
Main Info: - 3 kids; 3.5yo, 18mo & newborn baby - Shared charge with Mum ... - 1 April start (although some flexibility) - 4-5 days p/w - 1-2 full days (8hr) and 2-3 afternoons (2.30pm - 6.30pm) - Energetic and family focussed personality essential - Team player - Driving & own car required - Interviewing - end of February - ┬Ż10 - ┬Ż12ph gross (┬Ż1,080 - ┬Ż1,300 gross p/m)
The kids are gorgeous - energetic, bumptious and great fun! Mum can be flexible as to the days / hours you work but would ideally like 4-5 days p/w with 1-2 full days (8hrs) and 2-4 afternoons (2.30pm - 4.30pm).
Mum isnŌĆÖt too worried about experience, you just need to have an energetic personality, be confident around children, a team player and willing to get stuck in with anything and everything. From September 2019 the eldest will be starting at school which is 20mins away, so a clean driving license and your own car is required so that you can help with the school run.
The role has a start date of 1 April, but there is some flexibility around this as theyŌĆÖre most keen to find the right person!
Duties will include sole and shared charge of the children. It will definitely involve tag teaming with the Mum and either focusing on the older two or caring for the newborn so she can spend time with the older too. Normal housekeeping duties are required as well; laundry, shopping, cooking, tidying etc.
Pay is ┬Ż10 - ┬Ż12 gross p/h depending on your experience and the family will be interviewing towards the end of February. This is a great opportunity for someone to become part of a lovely family and to gain some amazing newborn experience!

This is Molly. Molly was 14 years old when she killed herself in November 2017. This week is #childrensmentalhealthweek - itŌĆÖs a week of campaigning and raising awareness. The mental health of our children is more vulnerable than ever. Our children are exposed to so much and coping in the 21st century isnŌĆÖt as easy as weŌĆÖd thought or hoped. ItŌĆÖs no ones fault, itŌĆÖs just the way it is and thankfully more people than ever are talking about it. Mental and emotional health in ...children is something that is so close to my heart and runs through the core of Freckles. When I was a Nanny one of my kids took a dip and it shook my world from the inside. It was one of those life changing moments that you donŌĆÖt realise is life changing until years later. As a result we have developed and run a course with @drmaryhan on Emotional Health for all of our Kaya Nannies. ItŌĆÖs compulsory. I will do everything in my power to ensure no one feels like I did and that none of my families ever have to go through anything like MollyŌĆÖs family have. Your mental health is a thing. HOME. You gotta admit itŌĆÖs kinda beautiful ­¤śŹ IŌĆÖve lived here on and off for the last 9 years (it will be my 10 year anniversary this coming October ­¤Öē) and the story is a good one. This home isnŌĆÖt my family one, or the one I grew up in, or the one my old rich relative left me ­¤śé (if only). ItŌĆÖs actually the home of the first family I ever worked for. Yeah read that again and youŌĆÖll realise how crazy it sounds ­¤śé. In October 2009 I moved to Bath, to this house, as some pipping 1...8 year old, to help a family and look after their 4 children aged 4-13 ­¤ÖŗŌĆŹŌÖĆ’ĖÅ­¤ÖŗŌĆŹŌÖĆ’ĖÅ­¤ÖŗŌĆŹŌÖĆ’ĖÅ­¤ ÖŗŌĆŹŌÖé’ĖÅ. Nothing like jumping in the deep end! That time I stayed for 6 months, not the 2 weeks as weŌĆÖd agreed. I went travelling (found myself ­¤żŻ) went to Bath University (and returned to normal!) and 6 months after graduating in January 2015 I moved back in and well IŌĆÖm still here! Life is a funny old thing and I often think what would have happened if I hadnŌĆÖt packed my car and driven down here for those ŌĆś2 weeksŌĆÖ and well in totally honesty my life wouldnŌĆÖt be what it is at all.
