On behalf of Bethany, Gemma and Alan, Funny Farm Adventures would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising event on October 28th. 👻 We would also like to thank everyone who helped in running the event or supplying anything for it. We raised an amazing total of £2300 and now thanks to your generosity and support we will be helping to build a new primary school for New Beginnings orphanage in Uganda. 😊

User

What a fantastic weekend had by all. Great central location for a range of family activities from Castlewellan Park, Mountpleasant horse trekking to Tyrella beach and Mountpanther. Back to a well made and maintained glamping pod, the boys had a ball at the farm with the other campers kids in the play area just behind the pods secure and closed in. It was a very hot weekend luckily we brought a fan. What a prize less than 20 miles away I never would have thought of glamping but thanks to The Camping Pods competition we got to experience it, definitely a must do again. Can't wait to go back and see the maize maze when it's grown a bit. Thank you Alan for your hospitality.

User

Went to funny farm adventures yesterday with 3!of my friends and all our children. We rented out all 3 off the pods. We had the best time there and the kids can't wait to go back again in the summer. Also Alan the owner was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again. Would definitely recommend this place

User

We had a great time here! What a find perfect for families. Our 2 under 3 loved it! Play area is great and location is stunning with gorgeous views.

User

We brought our three girls (all under five) for their first camping trip, and they loved it. Really family friendly site with loads of really fun activities to do, and the team that run it couldn’t do more for you. Would highly recommend it.

User

We absolutely love this place. Great for touring caravans. The amenities for wee children are brilliant. We've stayed here a few times and and on a good day weather wise the views are amazing. Alan and his family are really lovely people and he's what I'd called a gent. Not up and running long and he's getting there. Really if you have young kids this is perfect. No shop or cafe etc if your there before July and August. But the price is spot on for what you have. We'll be back a few times before summer is out.

User

Very friendly staff and owner (Alan) Plenty to do for kids! Stayed around 3 hours but could stay longer - hot food available and good variety and quality! Also cute wee sweet shop . Lovely day out! Make to do the maize maze also!

User

This weekend was are 2nd time at funny farm last year was are 1st and 1st ever time camping and just like back then this weekend has defo give us the camping bug for this year cant wait for another few months of adventures but will be sure to return to funny farm before the season is out its brilliant for kids they can just run free and the adults dont have to stress alan and shane were brilliant very friendly and nothing was to much hassle views were fantastic of the mournes and weather was an added bonus defo love this site and so do the kids which helps loads !

User

This place was brilliant kids had a ball great value for £15 a night for tent close to Newcastle castlewellan tollymore ! We did it all plus played around the site on all the activities for the kids ! If your even in the area do the granite trail views were amazing we will be back

User

Staying at this campsite is a must (1) the price so cheap (2) it is so peaceful with stunning views, (3)the play area is open to the public during day then any body camping that night has the place to themselves (4) The Ower Alan and staff are fantastic nothing was a bother (5) place is very clean (6) on site cafe and shop (7) there is sooo much for kids to do bouncy castle, slides, go carts, maze etc (8) shower and glamping pods available. (9) At night it feels very safe and secure (10) the tents and caravans are right next to the play area so you can see kids at all times.

Overall you won't be disappointed and for what all's included you can't complain about the price of camping as I said to Alan he should probably charge a bit more

User

My six year old loved this place as there was plenty to keep him occupied and plenty of kids for him to play with. The pods had stunning views of the the Mournes, were clean and tidy, and the beds comfortable. The owners and staff were all friendly and welcoming and never far if you needed help. Just a shame a family with children in another pod thought it would be ok to choke the rest of us with the strong stench of their cannabis! All in all, would recommend to families, and would be happy to return.

User

Just home from our stay in funny farm adventures- we had the pleasure of winning their recent competition for a overnight stay in the glamping pods have to say we really enjoyed our stay! Pods are immaculate and beds really comfy with amazing views of the mourne mountains! (Pods have kettle, toaster, tea, coffee, cutlery and plates etc, picnic table to the side of every pod so you can enjoy your own food/BBQ/picnic which was great... USB charging also)

Our little girl who's almost 5 had a great time in the play area lots to keep her entertained and really enjoyed the maize maze, slide and zip line. Cafe, bathrooms and shop also on site.

Been going to castlewellen and on to Newcastle for years and never knew this place existed unfortunately.. (located only a few mile from Newcastle) def worth a visit for a day out/ overnight stay with the wee ones- great way to end the summer holidays and can't wait to visit again really soon!

Thanks to the owner and staff at funny farm who are all really helpful and friendly!
