Some of you will remember Famara, from Mandinari Lodge. Sadly, Famara died recently whilst trying to make the dangerous journey to Europe. We sympathise with any Gambians trying to find peace and prosperity, but it is TOO DANGEROUS to come by the "back door", far, far too many risks.

President Jammeh is still in post, of course, and has questioned the validity of the election result. There may be a Judicial Review of the election on 10th. Meanwhile, whilst many inside and outside the country are urging a peaceful handover, some individuals are leaving the cities for the provinces or abroad. See more here
Predict difficult days ahead for The Gambia. President Barrow will need to work with a National Assembly where 43 of the 48 seats are held by APRIC members.
