We stopped off here on my husbands birthday, on our way home for a drink and some food. The new improved play area was a big hit with the children, the choice of Ales was great with fab knowledge from staff about each one. The food was fantastic, looked and tasted great, the kids cleared their plates too which is always a good sign.

User

We had Sunday lunch. Perfect beef, Yorkshire puds and all the trimmings. The roast potatoes were to die for. Service was quick (we were a party of five) and the staff were courteous and seemed genuinely pleased that you enjoyed it. Thoroughly pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

User

Visited the Greyhound last night for the Valentines night meal.

The food was stunning. Really delicious. The surroundings were cosy with the log fire burning and comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back soon for food as it was so tasty and well presented

User

Not visited for sometime not disappointed excellent food nice surroundings. Polite efficient young staff.

Well done.

User

Lovely welcome, our choir called in there December 29th had a great couple of hours, lovely ales and the chips were good too.

User

Lovely home-cooked food with plenty of choice. Very friendly staff. If you are passing I recommend you pop in for dinner.

User

Lovely food and a man playing the guitar made a good atmosphere

User

Just had probably the best steak I’ve ever tasted at the Greyhound. Perfectly cooked, served with a well dressed salad, onion rings, creamy coleslaw, corn on the cob and sweet potato fries! I struggled to finish but just made it . We had the port and Stilton sauce too which was full of flavour. Staff were friendly and polite. We’re definitely coming back!

User

Food was really nice. Made instantly welcome by two locals. Allowed us to kip overnight in camper on car park. Really nice ales too!

User

First visit to the Greyhound, won’t be our last!! Sunday Lunch was delicious. I had beef, wife had lamb, eldest daughter had turkey and all 3 meats were spot on. Veg seemed fresh and was very tasty. Youngest daughter had sausage and chips. Chips were proper home made not frozen. Desserts were also faultless!!

User

First visit of many more very friendly staff excellent food and added bonus dog 🐶 friendly 👍

User

First time of going to the Greyhound.

Was really lovely.

Log fires.

Lovely meal.

Even though there was only one lady running the bar and serving food, taking orders, and pulling drinks.

The food arrived hot and delicious.

Would really recommend.

User

Excellent New Year's Eve dinner with the family. Food was superb. Only been once since change of hands, but decor and new menu are great. We will be back!

User

Booked for food last Friday to fit us in the next evening, there was about 30 of us, including children and babies, and they said yes no problem. Gave us our own room and we all had the best night there. Can’t recommend enough!!!!

User

Best cheesecake ever. It was that good I had 2 portions! Fajitas were pretty impressive too

User

Always go there for the gammon which is just about the best.....but now I have been introduced to their orange marmalade gin!

User

Very disappointing meal this time I'm afraid. I was gutted as have been coming here for years and they have such a lovely playground for the kiddies. Food wasn't cooked properly - jacket potato was rock hard and the gammon wasn't cooked properly and very tough. Won't be coming back for a while.

User

Worse meal I’ve ever had, £17. And a total waste of money as I couldn’t eat it..

User

The beer garden was lovely to begin with, but i'm utterly disgusted that I had to leave with soiled shoes & handbag as a result of poor responsibility of pets from their owners and the monitoring of grounds from staff. I am all for pet-friendly pubs, and am a dog owner myself, but there is no excuse for such neglect, especially when children are also running about playing.
