Our Collect+ service is coming!
With Collect+ you can have parcels delivered from stores further afield, return unwanted items and send your own parcels across the Collect+ network. You can do all these things at a time to suit you (so long as we're open) and you won't have to wait in for a parcel again. Winning.

Heather has insisted we affix a sprig of mistletoe above our front door.
As a result, Alan has had to spend much of the week chasing a lurking Dave away from the entrance to the store with a broom, so we’re all feeling very festive here. Happy Festive Friday everyone!

The wind is blowing like it's the end of the world, Alex is wandering around in a Christmas jumper and Cadburys Creme Eggs have just turned up to go on sale, it is still November isn't it?
Our winter opening hours start from this weekend, opening 7am until 7pm Saturday and 7am until 6pm Sunday.

We've gone and got ourselves a fancy new Paypoint machine which you can still use to pay bills, buy electric, get mobile top-ups and play the health lottery.
Along with the new machine we will soon be offering Collect+ services which you can use to collect, return and send parcels here on your doorstep.

From the 1st of December we’re starting our winter opening hours on the weekends because it’s getting cold and wet and we want to go home and put the fire on.

We’re not sure scaring our customers is good for business but nobody gets in the way of Kirsty and Wendy enjoying Halloween.
We’ve now sold out of Herefordshire pumpkins, but we’ve still got good stocks of Halloween masks and goodies if you’re having a last minute rush!
The local neighbourhood police team have popped in to drop off door posters if you’re not participating and they are available on the shop counter.

We’re carrying new lines in our fruit and vegetable chiller this week, including Herefordshire strawberries in 100% bio-degradable packaging, piccolo parsnips for the Sunday roast and shire grown potatoes in handy carry bags. 🍓 + 🥔 = 🤩

The raffle result is in! Mrs Ball was kind enough to do the ticket selection for us and it’s Jade from Leintwardine who is taking home Hopkins!
Heather felt that all raffles need at least two prizes, so she donated a box of chocolates. The winner of a sizeable sugar high is Mr Steve Morgan.
Congratulations to both!
... We’ve had a brilliant time raising money through Beards for Boobs with our friends from Wood’N’Ribbon tearoom who were sporting some truly epic beards on Friday. Together, just a few quid short of six hundred pounds has been raised, thank you to everyone for your generosity.
To all who have asked, yes, Dave is still stained a little bit pink.

CHARITY RAFFLE.
We’re supporting the Beards for Boobs campaign this year. It’s when men (and women) across the world grow beards and raise funds for cancer causes and it’s why many of us are looking a little more disheveled than usual at the moment.
As a part of this effort we are raffling off a terrifying plush rabbit. He is a collectable and worth a pretty penny. Brand new, he’s a Charlie Bear called Hopkins and at three feet tall, it will scare the absolute bejesus out ...of you late at night, or any other time of day.
You can get a strip of tickets for a quid in store, the tickets will be jumbled together and a winner chosen on the 20th October with the result announced here on the Griffiths Garage facebook.

Work on our forecourt repair is now complete! We are still running a half forecourt whilst the concrete cures like a fine wine.
The full forecourt will become available again from Saturday. Sorry for the ongoing disruption.

We’re having some work done on the forecourt this week as we make improvements to our piping. It’s as exciting as it sounds*.
Unfortunately this means our forecourt is a little more cramped and a little bit noisier than usual, thank you for bearing with us everyone.

Alex is in a cracking mood this evening after a “bloody massive” (grass) snake came into the office to say hello. Jump out at him if you can, working together with Mother Nature we’ll have him in pieces by Christmas.
