Went with my mum and daughter for my birthday lunch and it was lovely especially the brisket beef chilli and golden rice, crayons and colouring poster kept the little one entertained and the waitress was very nice

Went on there 50 percent of and what a bargain was looked after by our waitress Sandra who could not do enough to make sure our meal was perfect which it was 10 out of 10 excellent value

We've been a couple of times recently, and we've not been disappointed. Our 7 year old daughter loves coming, as she's a big fan of the salad bar! Staff are very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

The waitress staff were all amazing, and brought out my 7 year olds birthday cake without being prompted to, all singing happy birthday!! Faultless service with a smile! We tipped well!!!

Popped in for a spot of lunch midweek, great meal, nice beer and the salad bar was very good, lovely bar staff as well, I will be back

Lovely food and great service the staff were attentive and really friendly highly recommend. The salad cart was really nice with lots of variety .

I have to say overall this harvester tops my list. I've been to a fair few around and this one tops it by far, friendly/welcoming staff, food looks very presentable and tasted excellent too. Salad bar replenished frequently overall nothing to have even a slight niggle about. ���

Had a lovely family meal this evening was cold outside but warm and cosy inside, food was perfect and new menu catered for all of us. Sarah was fab waitress �����

Was our first visit to Hockliffe. Normally go to Flamstead.

My birthday meal with family was very nice, Although the ultimate mixed grill beat me on this ocassion!

We visited for Valentines night and selected from the special Valentines menu. We both selected the rump steak for which there was a £3 supplement. The waitress then asked if we wanted the "small" portion of fries that came with the steak or would we like to upgrade to a "medium" portion?

We both opted to upgrade but when the meal arrived the portion could only be described as a large portion.

Then for desert, there were 4 options 2 of which attracted a supplement. Of the 2 included choices, one had sold out meaning the only non supplemented desert available was the "Sundae Best" which was simply a portion of ice-cream with a choice of sauces.

Not exactly a sophisticated desert.

When we checked on the main menu, the steak that we had selected would have cost just £1 more than we paid for on the special menu.

Overall, the standard of the meal was OK, but not outstanding in any way.

We left the restaurant feeling somewhat underwhelmed with out dining experience.

I have been here before for dinner and it was fine but went for breakfast yesterday and it was not nice. They don't drain the poached eggs so my plate was swimming in water I had to mop it up with a serviette and all the bread wasnt covered so all the flies were landing on it

Very surprising as harvester is usually ok... was disappointed

We love harvester but after our visit yesterday I think we'll start looking for another regular haunt. The unlimited refill machine which my child loves is gone. The salad bar lacked variety. Fatty ribs, an under done jacket potato and ice cream sundaes delivered to our table half melted. Not impressed.

Usually love this Harvester, had many great meals there but really disappointed this evening, no steak, no pineapple, no thousand island sauce and no cheesecake- pretty much all we wanted they didnt have. Pretty poor for a Saturday evening!

This place has gone down hill recently. The salad bar was fetid and limp. The bread rolls were hard as nails. The chicken skin was sift and rubbery. The fish greasy. The gravy lumpy. The only positive point was the staff who were polite and helpful despite the mediocre food they were serving.

Visited the Heath and Reach restaurant, Been there a few times as lived in Leighton Buzzard before moving.

I was disappointed from the moment I got up to get my salad from the help yourself bar, almost all the ingredients were empty and the choice has halved since my last visit, no rolls available, the so called clean bowls were all dirty.

Once I got my main meal the situation got no better, the food on my plate was cold from the first minute, I pick a mixed grill which I choose because I have had it from there many times but the portions had got smaller but I’m glad really because after trying what I got the food was not great, chicken was ok but the steak and the gammon was full of fatty bits and gristle, the chips were cold, two tiny mushrooms and a almost hard boiled egg, the onion rings were dripping in grease. I was going to ask for it to be reheated but what’s the point as it would not have improved it in quality or taste.

The desert was ok, I picked a Baileys sundae, half the ingredients were missing, no banana or toffee sauce.



Would not go there again and glad I have moved away, my local Harvester has been closed down but glad because if the quality has got rock bottom in all there restaurants they don’t deserve the custom

I am normally I fan of harvester and hockliffe is usually pretty good. I visited with a friend and my son yesterday for lunch. We both ordered the same thing, butter chicken in a wrap with chips; I had sweet potato fries. And we both had a salad bowl. Since our meal both of us have felt very sick all night. I ended up throwing up in the evening and again in the morning. Making me think that it's got to have been something within the wrap or the salad bar! This has really put me off visiting again!
