Love idols being going for years now always great music. Good drink prices well worth going in when you are on wind street :)
Lost my phone on the dance floor, and Gareth and the girls behind the bar were the most helpful in finding it, I couldn’t thank them enough, I bet they deal with it all the time, but I’m so so SO appreciative of them taking it seriously and trying so hard to help me out! Ironically I couldn’t have lost it in a better place, so lucky for staff like yours!! Thank you again!
Left my bag there on Wednesday and had it back Sunday night with everything still in there... nothing missing at all! Respect to everyone working there
I love it here. All the staff are really friendly and it's really cheap too. I always go here on nights out.
I just want to say a massive thank you to Idols Swansea. I lost my car key inside last night and not realising until they were closed. I phoned them last night, left a message and also messaged them on Facebook. They got back to me this morning, they searched for it and found it. Again I'm so grateful and cannot thank Idols and their staff enough! Thank you!

Only giving one star, because not giving any, isn't an option. You really need to train your door staff in how to deal with people on the autistic spectrum. Last night, my 22 year old son, who has aspergers, had just bought a round of drinks for himself and his friends, that came to £21. Immediately from turning from the bar, people bumped into him, tipping the drinks over himself and others. He asked for a refill, or even just a discount to buy a new round. But the bar man just spoke over him, so he raised his voice in order to be heard. This got him thrown out by the door staff.
My son, calmly, explained to the door staff, that he understood they were only doing their job, and perhaps him raising his voice to heard may have been perceived wrong, but that he has aspergers, and asked if could go back in to let his friends know where he was, and more importantly, get his jacket that contained his wallet. He was refused. So he asked if they, or someone could get his jacket for him, as he needed it and his wallet, so that he could get home. They refused, telling him, it wasn't their problem. The doorman then turned his back on him, ignoring him. This distressed my son, since he has autism, and was worried about getting his wallet and being able to get home. He tapped the door man on the shoulder and again asked he could have his jacket to which he was told, "If you tap me again, I will knock you the f**k out". My son was not being aggressive or confrontational. He has not been raised that way, and everyone who meets him comments on what a well mannered and polite young man he is.
Since he really needed his jacked and wallet, he calmly tried to walk in to get it, and was pushed to ground by the door men. Thankfully, my sons friend came to look for him, and got him his jacket. But I am disgusted how my son was treated.
Preventing anyone from getting their belongings, especially when it includes a wallet, is distressing, even more so for someone on the autistic spectrum. Thankfully my son is very high functioning and has learned good coping strategies for his anxiety and called me. When he couldn't get hold of me, he called his girlfriend and spoke to her, and she was able to calm him down. But I fear, had this been someone who had, even a slightly, more severe level of autism, it could have triggered a full blown melt down and ended very badly for the autistic person. Hence I think your staff need to be educated and trained in how to deal with autistic people. Would it really have been so hard, after he alerted them to the fact he has aspergers, to just tell his friends where he was, and get his jacket for him, so he could have just left, which is all he wanted?
I see there are a lot of negative comments on here about your door staff, who are clearly not behaving as they should, (I do know that part of the job of door staff is try and keep calm or actually calm a situation, not provoke one, since my brother has trained and worked as a doorman). I have advised my son not to visit your establishment again, and I'd also strongly advise anyone else on the autistic spectrum not to go there given how my son was treated, even after he explained he has aspergers. I hope your door staff feel big and proud of themselves, picking on someone half their size who has additional needs!
